The Fight Has Just Begun
In early December 2015, we basically knew our hands were tied behinds our backs until August. We had to participate, but still had no choice but to let the primaries play out. As we see now with the recent leaked emails, the outcome was even more out of our control than we imagined.
The spectacularly brilliant necessary education of our electorate conducted through Bernie Sanders via his rallies this past year has brought us to the place where we can now explode. We know what our people need, what our habitat needs, and what we need for peace.
We had to go through the primary process in order to give the republicans and democrats the chance to choose to work for us and support us, the 99%. Both groups have made weak insincere overtures. Both have failed. Now we know we must take this to the next level. Republicans and democrats have lost the ability to control us.
By the end of this week, we will know for sure what choices we have for the presidential election. For the down ballot races, there is still room for improvement. Progressive groups in every state must recommend progressive candidates, and where there are none, recruit write-in candidates. In Texas, August is the month where write-in candidates file. In every race where there is not a progressive candidate, we must conduct exhaustive searches to recruit qualified individuals to run.
After every slot is filled, progressive organizations in every state must publish a flier with recommendations for progressive candidates, and very specific instructions on how to vote for write-in candidates.
This is not the end. It is the beginning.

superdelegates
My Dem. Senator and my Rep. both committed their superdelegate votes to Clinton before we even voted. My vote and the rest of their constituency did not matter to them. Bernie won the state and my rep's district. Since my vote doesn't matter to them, they won't get it this November.
Same in MI only worse...
Dingell, Granholm, Stabenow and the rest of the old girls vagina brigade are out in full voice. I'll never vote for another Democrat at the federal level.

I never would have forseen that I could wage war
(with assistance) on even more than one field. One is highly personal, the other for the Rest (best?) of us. Joan of Arc was a proud heroine who died badly, sainting her. Won't be happening for me, or you. But that (those, for me) big lines got trampled.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Progressives have something in common with the TEA party
Both factions have realized that we aren't constrained by the yoke of the larger parties. I think the Progressive rift is larger and involves more people, therefore has a greater chance of becoming a driving force.
I loved this line. Bernie didn't really tell us anything we didn't already know, but it was like an awakening, or having the veil parted from our eyes.
Having a real leader speaking the truth about all of these issues, all the time, worked like a magnetic force that made all the little particles line up and point north. Now that we've all found a new direction, what next? I for one was impressed by an article I read the other day (you don't start with President) encouraging us to run for dog catcher, etc. I've never thought of myself as a dog catcher, but if it's a stepping stone to school board...
