Hillary in virtual tie for 4th with Independents
Fourth you say? Besides Trump, who else does she trail among Independents?
For starters, Gary Johnson.
Libertarian Party presidential nominee Gary Johnson leads presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton among self-identified independents, a new poll finds.
But among independents, Trump leads, at 32 percent, followed by Johnson, at 23, and Clinton, at 22.
OK, I know what you are thinking. The other candidate Hillary is trailing is Stein, right? Nope, Jill Stein wasn't in these polls.
Instead, the other candidate in a virtual tie with Hillary is a giant space rock of death.
“This has given rise to the ‘Giant Meteor for President’ movement, and we find that the Meteor would poll at 13 percent — far more support than the third party candidates actually on the ballot — with Clinton at 43 percent and Trump at 38 percent. The Meteor is particularly appealing to independent voters, functionally in a three-way tie at 27 percent to 35 percent for Clinton and 31 percent for Trump.
I'm not saying she will lose. In fact, I think she will win, but without a mandate.
Nevertheless, here are some charts showing why Hillary can't pull away while running as Obama's Third Term despite Trump being such a loathsome creature.
Obviously people are unhappy, and running for "more of the same" isn't going to inspire voters.
Which is why Hillary's campaign is all about "Scary Republicans".
What is happening is that after 15 years of constant "Be afraid" the message is losing it's effectiveness.
Plus, people simply don't like Hillary.
Comments
Let's face it...
Both her, and Trump, are really running for the 10th term of Ronald Reagan.
Democrats, we tried to warn you. How is that guilt and shame working out?
The economy stupid.
It's looking more and more likely that we will be experiencing another major downturn in the economy before the elections. If it happens, Hillary will be toast with a lot of the low income working class. They'll join the other 45% of the nation that will vote republican regardless of the nominee. Now throw in those of us who already have said "Never Hillary" and the DNC has a problem they can't solve without massive cheating which they're ready to do.
I harvest this years medicine just a couple of weeks before the elections. Looking forward to being comfortably numb.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Republicans out cheat Dems every time.
Prediction: D. Trump will be President, like it or nor--of course most of us would rather see Bernie in the WH--but that ain't gonna happen.
Makes one yearn for H.Ross Perot & his VP, Silent Bob

Reagan's 10th term is right.
i vote for the giant space rock of death. I know exactly where I want it to land.

We just have to hope
they're all in one place.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Personally, if faced with that choice...
I would also opt for the giant meteor. At least it's honest about what it is.
The chances of any complex
The chances of any complex life surviving on Earth past this century might be better with the meteor...
Don't get MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction) - get Green!
Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
In a crowded field...
The big number of Independents are going to break any number of ways, which ironically means this will probably end up being a base turnout election.
This is especially true for Hillary because Independents already hate her and the trend continues downward. So she needs a big turnout from the base or else a big crossover vote from Trump-hating Republicans.
Hillary discourages her own base.
Hillary motivates most of Trump's.
(Christie's speech was the most popular for a reason.)
Do the math.
And finally, don't forget the truest thing said by any member of the MSM this election cycle:
Hillary's numbers never go up.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
Hillary is in second; everyone else is tied for first!
"The justness of individual land right is not justifiable to those to whom the land by right of first claim collectively belonged"
When it comes to Independents...
That's basically the size of it.
( I applaud your semicolon. )

As Proust showed: Proper punctuation is key to civilization.
; )
Cheers.
"The justness of individual land right is not justifiable to those to whom the land by right of first claim collectively belonged"
When asked what advice he would give to young writers,
Kurt Vonnegut once said "Throw in a semicolon once in a while. Show 'em you went to college."
"Just call me Hillbilly Dem(exit)."

LOL - A fine writer. Jack Kerouac often just used dashes,
which are distinct from hyphens, to indicate a line had ended and he was out of breath.
Proust distinguished between a colon followed by a capitalized letter to begin a clause and a colon followed by a noncapitalized letter to begin a clause. Even though Marcel's sentence were sometimes 800 words long, they were easy to follow. Henry James, and his clots of commas, on the other hand, defeats me.

David Brooks thinks Hillary needs to be optimistic
He keeps saying that Trump shouldn't have talked so much about problems. Dark and gloomy, he said. The optimistic candidate wins, he says.
The commentators are so out of it. They have no idea how things are for
The 99%. They think things are good - things are good for them, after all.
I spent the afternoon
going through the DNC wikileak dump. Besides the fact they are slimy as hell and totally cahoots with the establishment media I could not believe how clueless the DNC people are. Clueless +Arrogant does not bode well in an election cycle that was so blatantly fixed. Lanny Davis gimmie a break. She's going to lose unless they rig the general. Indies are motivated Saunders supporters are motivated and the Dem. base is in shambles. What a crazy season. On the other hand Trump is so over the top insane that I can't believe he's for real. So that's all The Mad Bomber has going. After delving into the DNC's emails I don't know if the Clinton bubble machine has the smarts orn savvy to even beat The Hairball.
Funny when Reagan was running
My friends father a very politically savy retired 5 star general always referred to Reagan as the mad bomber. He was a staunch old school republican but considered Reagan to be dangerous.
