let me make it a little easier for you!
Since I have just recently quit the Democratic Party in Hawaii, I now know what you need to do and can save you some time!
If you send them an email stating that you wish to resign from the Democratic Party, they will send you back an email telling you how you may not be able to rejoin the Democratic Party for 3 years!!! Gasp!!! Like we have any plans to go back? They will send you the link to a webpage that is so widely advertised that you'll never find it on your own! Here's the link:

That should make it a little easier!

I guess each state has their own rules, but
it kind of seems unfair to me. I live in Texas. We're an open-primary state, so we don't register by party. And even though I'm not voting for Clinton, I'd still want the choice to vote in the Democratic Primary in 2018. And there are some Democrats (local and state) that I will be voting for in November, although party registration isn't an issue during the general election.
And just a reminder for those of you who live in Florida. I wouldn't exit the Democratic Party just yet if you live in Debbie Wasserman Schultz's district because if you do, I don't think you could vote in their primary for Tim Canova.
Don't forget Alan Grayson.
Thanks for the link
Will definitely be using it tomorrow, Mahalo.
I hope they see hundreds of them!
Mrs. R also quit today and I can't believe we're the only ones thinking this way. Unfortunately, they didn't have a box on the page to indicate why I was leaving. But that's okay! I made it extremely clear to them when I sent them the email!
“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”

What about Tulsi?
I'm all for leaving the party, but don't you need to be a Democrat to vote for Tulsi Gabbard in HI (closed primary, right?)
Hawaii Congressional primaries are open...
that's how we ended up with republican Charles Djou when Abercrombie ran for Governor. And, Tulsi Gabbard isn't in my district. Coleen Hanabusa is running again for district 1 and there is a whole field running on the Dem side with her. Hanabusa is not nearly progressive enough for me. Not sure who I'm going to vote for.

Oh, cool.
Actually, I'm in a very anti-incumbent mood...
but unless Tulsi were to strongly support someone other than Hanabusa, I'll be voting for Javier Ocasio. Like Tulsi, an Iraq war vet and a total Bernie supporter.
