The People’s Convention in Philadelphia July 23rd Needs Your Financial Support

The People's Convention, will be held on the eve of the Democratic National Convention is the first major grassroots event in Philadelphia on July 23rd 2016 at the historic Arch Street Meeting House at 4th and Arch Street in Philadelphia. Nina Turner will be one of our featured speakers the day of the convention.

Our purpose: To reclaim democracy and ensure our voices are heard. We seek to unite Sanders supporters and other progressives behind a set of shared values and policies to bring about a peaceful Political Revolution.

The People’s Platform: As part of The People's Revolution, we collaborated with many other groups and input from people like you who support progressive policies to create The People’s Platform, an alternative to the platforms of Republican and Democratic Parties, both of which are heavily influenced by lobbyists and corporate interests.

On July 23rd at The People's Convention, hundreds, if not thousands, of people, including Sanders' delegates, will gather together, in person and via live-stream, to engage in political dialogue, forge new relationships, and ratify The People’s Platform. After the convention we will continue to promote our The People’s Platform at the Democratic National Convention in cooperation with Sanders’ supporters. We’ll also seek out candidates that share our beliefs and ask them to adopt and run on our platform.

We are not tied to any one person or party. Our long term goal is to advance a unifying set of ideas, beliefs, and values that we, the people, through the continuing work of existing organizations and newly created volunteer groups, can use to rally around and coordinate all our efforts to make the political revolution a reality.

How You Can Help: We have no big financial sponsors, so we rely entirely on your donations, in any amount, small or large, to fund the cost of renting the venue, providing food and water to all who attend, printing flyers and other costs incurred in holding the event.
