Easy ways and not so easy ways to help the Green Party/Jill Stein
People need to understand that this is a marathon not a sprint. Bernie's primary run was stage 1, now comes stage 2 (who knows maybe Bernie will join the Green Party). Jill Stein is a very good spokesperson for progressives. Jill could reach 15% in the polls and qualify for the debates. Once she gets on the stage, she will open a lot more eyes. We need some positive energy, can't give up now, can't give up next year. There are simple ways to help Jill:

If the organizational power and donation power that went to Bernie was shifted to the Green Party/Jill Stein we could make a difference. People should know that Gary Johnson (Libertarian) supports the TPP, so I hope people do not support Gary Johnson. There are also a few videos on her twitter feed. Like I said, this is a marathon, can't give up now, can't give up next year, think positively.

Many of you here are fighting for the betterment of your community, lot and country. Things need to change if not then they will not get better as a matter of fact they will get worse. I am not a Green person, but this election cycle with the Douche-bags we have running for both major parties, please consider doing something different.

I've concluded Greens are not serious
at least not here in CT.
There is about 30 days left to get signatures to get on the ballot.
There is no list of locations or people to contact to sign the petition.
There is no list of events where they will have tables to collect signatures.
They suggest you contact a guy to get a petition to start your own signature drive.
That's it?! They have had a year to get organized and that's where they are?

I've concluded that Bernie's not serious
After weeks of nothing from Bernie, just got a petition from him asking me to sign on to push the Dems in Philadelphia to go anti-TPP in platform. How clueless is that, now that he's fading into the dustbin of history (his choice) and She'll never go for it? Pathetic that he still doesn't get that joining up with the Greens will jump start the "revolution" and grow a third party - the only way to fight for progressivism (from a position of strength via electoral threat).

I'm in the camp that says it is useless to try to reform a corrupt party that is beyond saving. If that's how bernie wants to spend his time, I wish him luck.

Trying to build a new 3rd party ?
Well the odds are stacked against you even worse than a coup attempt within the Democratic party.

Whatever the shortcomings of the Green Party
and Jill Stein, it's apparent to me that Trump/Republican Party and Clinton/Democratic Party are far worse.
Think about it as voting for the lesser of three (or four, if you consider the Libertarian Party) evils, if you like.
Personally, I find quite a lot to support in the Green Party platform.

I don't know your situation, COE, but
not everyone is cut out to be a "leader." Some who might want to be aren't physically able to organize and lead a signature-gathering petition drive or don't have the resources (yes, even the small - to some - amount of money needed for gas to get around or bus fare or to make a poster board sign and set up a table at a strip mall).
That said, I pulled the following from the Connecticut Green Party page:

Pethaps you might give these people a call or send them an email letting them know that, while you can't lead the parade in your town or rural area, you are ready and qualified to sign a petition if someone can tell you when and where to go, or if they can come to you.
Or, if you're able to, you can download the petition, print it out, sign it, get it notarized (most county clerks or similar do this for free), and send in your signed petition of one to whoever is collecting them.
Just some suggestions, my friend. Best of luck to you - and I do hope Stein gets on the ballot in your state so that you can vote for her.

Volunteers in NY got 80k signatures for Bernie to get him on the ballot.
There was no paid staffer to hold your hand, there were no offices to drive down to.
Seriously, I think the Green party is a failure, a joke, an embarrassment. But at least they have organized something and their platform is the gold standard, and you wont even print out a few pages and walk your block to get signatures for ballot access?
