Beauty and Fear Part One: Street Prophets Thursday Coffee Hour

Welcome of Thursday Coffee Hour. I try and present things to look at that are a break from all politics all the time. I am fortunate in the fact that this year I live is a beautiful apartment complex with people in the front office who actually want us and understand disability needs. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and lets us know what is new with you.

Being a caregiver is one to the most stressful jobs in the world. I found that out on June 11th when I woke up in the back of an accident after my brain had just been given to many problems to try and figure out. On paper Reid makes too much money for extra help. Because I'm his POA I have access to his money and I have zero help available to me.

I have seen my Doctor and we are awaiting lab results and considering how bad the lungs hurt I'm expecting pneumonia for the third time this year in spite of the shots. My Doctor doubled my stress medicine and added extra sleep aids to see if we can at least keep my poor overworked body from falling apart. The last full night sleep I had was on October 3rd, 2013 in Chicago when the train had to stay overnight because of the flooding on the tracks. We tried last night where it took several hours for the medicine to take effect and then I got awakened at 5:00 a.m. when my brother fell out of bread.

So to make sure politics are not adding to any more stress on my body I thought pretty things to look at would help me wait for the Doctor to call with test results.

I hope your test results are good news. If you need help sleeping, try a joint.

I know you from a distant past? While organized religion has always been a bane, imo, it does not limit my compassion for those who seek refuge under any (physical or mental) tree in the forest.

Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. Stephen Hawking

What did I say? Pot is medicinal. It will help her sleep and remove stress. Anyone who is a care giver deserves a medal. Are you cautioning me not to speak to religion? Your comment is cryptic, and I would appreciate more clarification.

I keep telling my family I'll accept either Viggo Mortensen or Liam Neeson in place of a medal. Preferable both one with a bottle of good red wine and the other holding a box of dark chocolate.

I have a severe allergy to smoke of any kind. It sets off my asthma. It is a good idea if it weren't for my severe allergies.

Either get a card or go to the store if you're somplace legal. I think it would help you sleep and do wonders for your stress levels.
