Some idle speculation on Assange's timing on releasing the Email data...
Submitted by Alphalop on Tue, 06/28/2016 - 11:04am
So I was dusting the house and as is the norm when doing mindless tasks I was also engaging in idle speculation.
One of the things I was thinking about was all the questions I see repeatedly asking, "Why the hell won't Assange release the damn info already!".
And a possible answer hit me.
Could he be waiting for the last interviewee to have a chance to perjure themselves, Abedin in particular?
Are there any other interviews still to be conducted?
I know, it's all probably going to be moot in a few days but the damn suspense is killing me!
Plus, I really enjoy hearing others speculations as well, it can be great for sparking some thought I otherwise never would have had.
Comments
That actually never occurred to me
but that's pretty savvy, now that you mention it.
When does Abedin testify? Didn't somebody have a date on that, finally?
What a delicious idea
Never thought of that either!
LOVE IT.
Also, for those who haven't heard the weasel words from the Toadstool's mouth
Yeah, but in fairness, she didn't yet know what it said, right?
Isn't that why she became against it after she was for it?
And who would expect an official such as herself to really know what's in a treaty, anyway, amirite?

Abedin testifies today.
Patrick Kennedy testifies tomorrow. You might have something there if he's waiting for these most important two to plead the fifth.

Testimony in the civil case is not the important issue. FBI
interviews involving perjury will be the big problem. AFAIK they has been fairly quiet about those schedules.
The FBI is combing through tons of Clinton Foundation stuff looking for public corruption, obstruction of justice, destruction of evidence, conspiracy...etc. It is taking awhile. Be patient.

Love your sig, that's pretty funny
love me some punnery
Where are they at in the investigation, any idea?
Of course the civil stuff is important
...this is part of why Pagliano isn't testifying. Those deposed could say something under oath here which may end up being inconsistent with what they say to the FBI.
The Clintons have a history of being brought down by civil suits. Without this set from JW, the public would have no idea about the antics at State and there would be no FBI investigation, so it's already been enormously impactful.

I will not vote for Her Heinous.
Brilliant - another one I'm stealing!
I think he's they're waiting
for the election season to get into full swing. Then there's a chance that the normally uninterested voters start paying attention.
The larger the crowd, the more exciting the game will be.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
What would be the point of waiting
until the election season gets into full swing? Then it would be too late to do anything but boost Drumpfs campaign. Too late to help Bernie in any case. Of course that depends on what Assange is trying to accomplish, which we don't know. Maybe he has a different agenda that doesn't include sinking HRC's campaign. Too many ifs to speculate.

If he doesn't
want to sink clinton's campaign then why even bring up the whole "I've got hillary's emails and I'm going to release them" thing. I dunno, but I know this. I'm tired of Assange, the FBI, grucifer 1 and grucifer 2. I'm especially sick and tired of the Obama administration covering for the criminal. And most of all, I'm sick of clinton and her rotten slimy husband. If there is something the public should be aware of then damn it get it out and let the public be the fucking judge and jury if they want clinton in the WH. I tired of the little kid secret game...BernieOrBust...
Perhaps Independence day
It's so symbolic....
Symbolic
Or conveniently distracting. What better time for anything more negative to emerge for Hillary than a long holiday weekend? By the time our sunburned skin is flaking off and we resettle in front of the large video screens in our homes, Donald will have done something extraordinary to push anything of substance to the recesses of msm websites.
Perhaps
Assange and the FBI have been brought to heel by the PTB. IF he has anything of importance, it should have, at the latest, been brought out before the CA primary.
in my opinion Assange has nothing
the point of wikileaks is to shed light. There is zero reason to withhold info. Nothing now means, I think, there is nothing.
It's the latest in the series that started with Fitzmas.
Could be a bluff
just to shake up the $hill?
On another note, Shah I hope your gig went well the other night. May be we'll get a report later on the cool whips?

oh yeah, had fun playing Saturday night
A big highlight of the night was meeting Big Al.
Great!

I don't think Assange bluffs. What he attempts to do
is make sure that leakers do not get in trouble for leaking. Hillary has come after him and sure will do more to come after him if elected. He's locked up. His reputation for ingrety is all he has. He won't bluff.

it may be optics?
Last week I thought, the Orlando shootings are dominating the news so he's waiting.
This week I thought, Brexit is dominating the news so he's waiting.
I hope your thought of the testimony is correct and we will soon have an email reveal. But it is my understanding Judicial Watch is planning (but not scheduled) a $hillary testimony.
So we keep waiting.
In other thoughts (I swept today rather than dusted), suppose they go so far as indict the $hill. I'm afraid the DNC would still nominate her over Bernie. What do you think?
“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
In order to describe the cataclysmic events necessary for the
party to even consider nominating Bernie, it would take events that if I listed them here, I would likely be flagged as someone intending to do harm to the country, which I am not. So, consider the worst issues in the summer blockbusters collectively (I think I can get away with saying Zombies and aliens from Mars without triggering any algorithms out there, but also add earth-shaking and man-made, war-like stuff), and if THAT happened, and Bernie was pretty much the last person alive, then they might posthumously let him have the nomination with a, "be president of THAT, Grandpa!" encouragement.
Short of that, he's correct, hundreds of thousands of people have to show up and make 'em do the right thing.

Sorry it took so long to answer, got ambushed by friends
and forced to leave my cave.
Personally, I think the Dems would rather lose with Clinton than win with Bernie, they don't care about the win, they care about their individual status and power, both of which they would lose if someone like Bernie became head of the party.
It's gonna take a brand new party to break the gridlock and oligarchy control in D.C.
Well, that, or blood.
Lots and lots of blood.

If he has anything of importance
having it come out before CA wouldn't have mattered, since the fix on that election was huge and already in place. In some quarters, he's already won--Sanders has flipped both LA and San Francisco, according to several reports.
That being said, Assange MUST put it out before the convention or I may have to agree with you. I'm getting mighty weary of the slow walk, that's been a scam before now.
I still can't find verification on that LA + SF thang
you got anything? Most I've heard is one segment of LA, and I haven't even found something specific.

SF Results
The SF Department of Elections posted the certified results on 6/24:
Clinton 53.52%
Sanders 45.81%

Yes, but that video was more recent, I believe
... so, is it untrue or is the state slow to correct the tally?

Don't know but the fact that
the Board of Elections refers to the numbers as certified would seem to indicate that this was the final count.
But then there is this from June 26 which would supersede the above "certified" statement:

You know, I really do not care what the gap is
I want the votes counted. So much can get hidden in uncounted ballots.

The suspense is suffocating
What will the leaked emails reveal?
Will the FBI investigation end before the convention?
What's Bernie going to do?
What's Jill Stein going to do?
What are the establishment shills going to do?
What the fuck is going to happen?
The fate of the World depends on the answers.
Beware the bullshit factories.
Sadly, probably very little. nt
There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.
Judicial Watch wants to see what Assange has got, too

I speculate
That Assange is holding on to the files to cause us to spend more time speculating.
Another Refugee from the Great Orange Purity Troll
He just wants to add to the suspense
Beware the bullshit factories.
LoL, Now that is some good speculation...
But if you are right all I got to say to him is:

He might be trying to win freedom?
Maybe he's cutting a deal with her highness. And maybe he'll succeed and maybe once he's freed someone else will release the emails so he can say HE kept his end of the bargain.
I like the diarist's idea too. Giving someone enough rope never gets old.
Personally, I use speculation to procrastinate housework. My house REALLY wants the suspense to end!
Edit: Maybe he's trying to win an immunity agreement from the FBI?!?! Was about to empty the dishwasher when this wonderful thought stopped me.
Isn't it amazing the thoughts that our minds will come up with
to get us out of thinking about how much housework sucks?

It may be that
Assange and Wikileaks are still getting their ducks in a row. They have said, that should any effort to stop the publishing of the emails occur by means of DDOS or other hacking technique or by some questionable legal means, that they would employ a dead man's switch making the entire unencrypted directory containing all the files available for anyone to download from multiple servers across the world.
Then again, perhaps it is as simple as Assange being mystified by his sock related ankle baldness and forgot all about it.

I welcome
