heh, i'd say that you're pretty lucky to be able to get there most years. i feel really lucky to have gotten a crack at seeing a bunch of places that are on my bucket list this year.

of getting on the ballot in Illinois. I would really like to see that happen. They're asking for donations to help the Illinois push.

heh. there was a time when america was not white. then white people came and focused on a strategy of genocide, which made america white.

i guess that if it bothers some whites that they are becoming a minority again, they really have only one legal choice - take a tip from the rabbits and put their energies into procreating madly. perhaps they ought to stop burning crosses and start having orgies.

Leave it to Beaver and Ozzie and Harriet were FAKE. Might as well wish to go back to when we all had those great Friends when we lived in New York, and when we laughed all the time at our neighbor Kramer's antics.

This ridiculous nostalgia needs to stop. There were plenty of break-ins, plenty of violent crime in the 1960s. In the magical 1950s, too, especially for PoC, but we don't care about THEM suffering violence, of course. But there was plenty of violence and break-ins in white communities, too. I know, because I listened to Dragnet.

FROM MSNBC, Morning Joe:

Asked point blank if he would "vote for Hillary Clinton in November," Sanders only slightly paused before answering, "yes."

In explaining why, Sanders didn’t mention Clinton herself, but instead focused on the dangers of a Trump presidency. "The issue right here is I'm gonna do everything I can to defeat Donald Trump," Sanders said, adding that Trump would be "a disaster for this country."

However, Sanders was also pretty clear about why he hasn’t ended his campaign or officially endorsed Clinton just yet: because he’s hoping to negotiate with her over the party platform.

"What my job right now is, is to fight for the strongest possible platform in the Democratic convention," he said, adding, "That means a platform that represents working people, that stands up to big money interests."

Now, I hope that things can get back to normal (here). Clearly, some Folks will choose to work within the Dem Party, some outside of it. Personally, I respect both views or mindsets.
