Really- you cannot make this crap up

Okay, this will not be a long essay more like a rant and I am sorry but I needed somewhere to vent. You enlightened people get it- the hypocrisy is so some mind numbing my head is going to explode. Why does the Democratic party need barriers and have security force to protect it? I get it in our "safe" age we need lots and lots of guns to protect the important people and to keep out the minions and peons.- please note this is a smart ass remark. However, really think about it, the party of the people needs all this security to project itself from the people- this makes me mad and sad. Will this be Chicago 1968 Part II?

Please refer to the short article below additional details.

Last year's papal visit was hailed a success in the days and weeks after Pope Francis came to the city for a historic weekend.

It may have been a success as far as no one getting hurt, including the Pope, but it wasn't a success when it came to Philadelphia businesses that expected to make some money from the tens of thousands coming to Philly; one, there were sections of Philly closed off that once you got in, you couldn't get out at least by car, and two, employees couldn't get to their place of business.

"It was not the same. We did less business than a normal weekend," Corey Martindale of Zio's Pizza said.

All along the 13th Street restaurant district there is disappointment.

Many are reporting sales off by 50 percent or more. Although some did pick up new customers.

...

Celebrity chef Marc Vetri, whose eponymous restaurant is a fine-dining landmark, took to Facebook to rail against city leaders who he said "decided to roll out the red carpet for everyone making the pilgrimage, and roll us up in the carpet to place in storage until Monday." He said he was "haunted by the empty streets and shuttered windows.

At Midtown III restaurant, co-owner Vivian Tafuri rented a refrigerated truck, filled it with $7,500 worth of food and spent another $1,000 on a parking space.

"It's all wasted," Tafuri fumed Sunday. "All the time our mayor was saying a million and a half people, and nothing. Wasted."

Liz Furey, a bartender at the restaurant, said the pope's visit chased away the regulars.

And could female reporters PLEASE put on a jacket or sweater when they're working -- they're not reporting from a cocktail hour.

and saw no female reporters. But you think they choose their own wardrobe? Right, and the female Faux anchors wear skirts all the time because coincidentally Faux hired a bunch of women who all enjoy showing off their legs.

As soon as men stop increasing the ratings by gawking, I'm sure the female reporters will cover up. Until then, good luck with that.

dress was "reporting" in the link in the diary, not my link.

Yes, I do know that some choose their own wardrobe.

IF they choose their wardrobe, I'm sure it's under station guidelines, most of which will want them to be "hot" to attract ratings.

At any rate, I'm not a fan of critiquing women's appearance.

Professional attire screams uncomfortable to me. Even if I could afford to, I likely wouldn't.

If it weren't for social construct, I'd never wear a bra except in winter because the extra, albeit uncomfortable, layer is welcome when it's cold. But, I can't because nipples noticed under material = sex to our weird society. And sex is dirty. So is breast feeding. Weird people.
