Pagliano's About To Take the 5th Again?!

Hey guys! Thanks for the love on this piece - but I gotta tell you that while this is mildly interesting since this guy has been in the news the last coupla months or so and we're waiting with baited breath to see what he's going to say at some undetermined point in the future and all.

But, I'd like to point out that my much more interesting piece has a crummier title and has not been getting as much attention. I believe I've committed a minor act of journalism in it, having brought to light information which has not seen much light of day in the past decade. And I promise it's got a level of bizarre-ity and surrealness that only a story about the Clintons can have:

What Hillary Clinton has said historically about criminality and guilt

Pagliano's About To Take the 5th Again?!

So-sez Politico:

Judge demands to see Clinton aide’s immunity deal

Hat tip to katchen for pointing out what should be made more clear - this is about testifying in a case filed by Judicial Watch:

"Counsel for Mr. Pagliano shall file a Memorandum of Law addressing the legal authority upon which Mr. Pagliano relies to assert his Fifth Amendment rights in this civil proceeding, including requisite details pertaining to the scope of Mr. Pagliano's reported immunity agreement with the Government," the judge wrote.

The new battle over Pagliano's immunity agreement and its potential public disclosure is an unhelpful development for Clinton's presidential campaign. A flurry of discussion over the details of the deal now seems imminent, along with implications that someone involved may have committed a crime, although no one has been charged.

Pagliano also took the fifth before the Bengazi committee, and initially refused to speak with the FBI:

the information technology specialist eventually spoke with the FBI after reaching an agreement that his statements would not be used against him, press reports said.

yadda, yadda, yadda - deal doesn't entirely preclude prosecution...

It's unclear what criminal liability Pagliano's attorneys are concerned about, but he was on the State Department's payroll and being paid privately by Clinton at the same time. The payments from Clinton made after he began working at State were not included in his personal financial disclosure, investigators say.

Transparency in action - nothing to see here, folks!

Of the state department and the Clinton foundation. As were many other people. How in the hell is that legal when there was so much overlap between the two?
And yes, if a republican SOS did the same thing, Hillary's supporters would have a problem with it.
But they keep saying that there's no investigation happening. Blindness.

State Dept payroll: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2378864/Huma-Abedin-355-000-work... while she was on the State Dept. payroll.

And more: “Maybe we can all gather for drinks/dinner and HRC can come join for as long as she can?” Abedin wrote.

The December 2012 event showcased the unique position that Abedin occupied at the apex of the Clintons’ public and private worlds during the final six months of Hillary Clinton’s tenure heading the State Department.

At the time, Abedin held four jobs with four different employers — an arrangement allowed by a special government designation she held permitting outside employment. And each job had a connection to the Dublin dinner. [bold added] https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/how-huma-abedin-operated-at-the-...

You see, this is why Anthony turned to posting his penis on the internet. Neglect and boredom. What's a rising (no pun, just fits) Democratic star in Congress gotta do to get noticed when his wife is being worked to death by Hillary?

Wouldn't taking the Fifth void his immunity deal? If not, why don't more people try it?

sorry no link...the story I read is that the FBI wants Pagliano to plead the Fifth during his Judicial Watch deposition in order to keep their info secret from HRC et. al. That way, the theory goes, HRC would be more likely to give discordant testimony from Pagliano's (i.e., lie).

They now have his story & want to see what HRC says. If she lies to the FBI she's in the shit even deeper. They don't want HRC to know what he's said. Comey is after her ass.
Does anyone know if they share attorneys?

I heard the same thing about the FBI instructing Pagliano to take the fifth so Hillary can't prep (make up the requisite "after the fact" BS cover story) for her dep.

I don't know if Pagliano has the same attorney as Clinton/Mills/Abedin, but I kind of doubt it. He's the loose cannon they are all worried about.

I don't know about the secretariat guy, but I think he's the one that told the two state employees never to bring up the subject of HRC's server again.

This whole cesspool reminds me of Watergate, but without the press coverage.

and I literally mean all day reading the long version of the Thompson timeline. I must have spent at least 6 hours, maybe more, I lost track.

My mind is still numb, but I don't believe that Pagliano has the same attorneys as the others. He's made his own deal and he is facing 5 years in prison for his repeated failure over 4 years to disclose the income he was generating from the Hillary for maintaining the server. Seems he forgot to include that in his annual financial disclosures while working for the State Department. No doubt this is what they're hanging over his head and he's guilty as hell because of it. From what I read today, his testimony is key as he knows all the dirty little secrets about that server.

Towards the end of the timeline, an FBI agent talks about how the target of an investigation, in this case Hillary, is generally the last to be interviewed. When they finally get to questioning the target, they only ask questions they already know the answer to. At that point, it's just a question of whether the target makes a confession, or lies to the FBI. Either way, the outcome is usually fatal.

After spending all day reading the long version of the timeline, I've never been more certain that Hillary will be indicted. The only question I have at this point is on how many counts, and what the possible length of time she could serve in prison. The Thompson page has 3 version to read, short, medium and long. It's well worth everyone's time to pick the one that suits your time frame best and read it.

Barring the intervention of the Obama administration, and I don't discount that as a possibly, Hillary is going to be indicted and I'm willing to bet on a number of charges including perjury, obstruction of justice and a few cases of gross negligence in the handling of top secret, classified material.

I don't remember who described it, but it was likely here. A reporter asked Clinton if the FBI had contacted her, and her reply was, paraphrasing:

No, we don't have an interview scheduled.

So, it sure sounds as if they apparently have contacted her and they are attempting to schedule...

Thompson Timeline was unfamiliar to me - I presume this is it: http://thompsontimeline.com/The_Clinton_Email_Scandal_Timeline

Pick your flavor, short, medium or long! I opted for the long version and it ended my day, but I'm glad I read it. I now understand so much more than I did before. Hillary will be indicted on multiple counts. I don't see how it could go any other way. And along with her are Abedin, Mills and the rest of them. They all knew what was going on and all are guilty of gross negligence in the mishandling of top secret, classified information. I was truly stunned by what I read today. I thought I had followed this story closely, but there has been so much information, disseminated so fast, that it's nearly impossible to keep track of it all.

Do yourself a favor and set aside the time to read through the long timeline. The first 2 parts take some time to get through as they provide so much of the background, once you've got the background info, the rest is a little easier reading. I find it almost unbelievable that Hillary Clinton could be so stupid. It's obvious throughout that she simply thinks she is above the law and rules only apply to the little people. I can assure you, you'll be stunned by some of what you read. Let's just hope those recommendations come in the next few weeks!!

deal, I am sure they most likely have a clause in there that precludes him from discussing the case with any party other than his attorney.

Based on the fact that he was willing to take a deal in the first place I am hopeful that he will not risk his immunity to aid Clinton.

I had thought I read several weeks back that he was only paid $5,000 by the Clintons. An opinion piece from June 4 says this:

E-mailgate was no such casual gaffe. It was a deliberate and planned conspiracy in which Hillary evaded standard State Department procedures, installed an outlaw personal computer server in the basement of her Chappaqua mansion — 267 miles northeast of Foggy Bottom — and then reportedly paid aide Bryan Pagliano $140,000 to maintain that illicit equipment.

Office. The only real threat this go-round is Bernie Sanders (not Trump). Odds are in favor of some pardon and Biden to the rescue, I think. You know this is all being planned and has been discussed in detail. The questions, in my mind, are timing of a rec for indictment--maybe just after the convention--and whether Comey and/or other FBI agents resign and go public to neutralize with voters any efforts to exonerate Clinton and make Biden more palatable as an end-run around the primary season. The D party has already shown itself to be illegitimate. Obama's admin says it won't interfere in the investigation and then does: http://www.ibtimes.com/political-capital/state-department-blocks-release...

Bill's role in the family foundation also should be of interest to Rs and anyone willing to investigate that sinkhole and bring charges.
