I just realized that this place has climbed every mountain, crossed every sea, til it found its rainbow ... Oops wrong soundofmusic track.
I just realized that some of the best voices, thinkers, writers, and stinkers are here, no longer at GOS.
Neat.
There is a growing feeling of creativity, commentary, insight, outsight, and sight cite site which beckons. TOS is in its final ebb. Not only has that shit sailed, the tide is gone, the masts have collapsed, the keel leaks like a sieve, and nothing there has any attraction for new blood, or gnu brood.
I like it here. I just hope some of my more sarcastic and curmudgeonly comments and critiques don't offend, too much. '

I never know what question to ask.
So I surprise myself.

Good to have you here, Most Reverend.
There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.
And,
I am more than happy to contribute all three to this place. F!@k GOS!

Forgot who came up with that the other day. Will search and give credit.
Edit: Did a search and couldn't find it. If someone remembers who came up with this to give them credit then a link would be appreciated.
There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties.. This...is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.--John Adams
I agree 100%
And some of the most appreciative readers, too ;)
Many of us rarely post an essay, or even a comment, but soak up what's here avidly.
