Looking for the Exit

As we've discussed many times, the US system is broken. The government has been captured and the pols are owned by corporate oligarchs and do their bidding, not the people's business. Is there a way out of this situation? Similarly, the US is creating endless war with arms manufacturing in about every district in America to insure compliance. Is there even a way off the war treadmill? I've been looking, but I can't find the exit.

Album of the Week - 10-22-22
Submitted by joe shikspack on Sat, 10/22/2022 - 3:00pmAfternoon folks!
This week there are some pretty diverse selections for you. There's blues by Brownie & Sonny (with Earl Hooker), Johnny Jenkins and a compilation album with a bunch of great bluesmen on it. There's Bill Withers Live at Carnegie Hall and blues rock by John Kay & Sparrow (an early forerunner of Steppenwolf). For some real diversity, there's Richard & Linda Thompson and an album by a bunch of sidemen called The Section.
Enjoy!
What conservatives think is "the left" these days
Submitted by gjohnsit on Sat, 10/22/2022 - 1:40pmI was recently reading an article by a libertarian who used the phrase "Post-Marx Marxism, which is mercantilist." It's a good thing I wasn't drinking coffee. Since this was the internet, I went to make a snide comment below the article which included "Everything Bad = Marxism."
As if to prove my point, someone replied to my comment with, "Marxism mixed with globalist banksterism/oligarchism/corporatism will get you to mercantilism."

Why is this not on the news? The media is completely complicit in this - there’s no confusing that now. pic.twitter.com/3vvSOnxxUl

We seem to be at the watch and wait stage of of the major issues around the world. Unable to directly influence any of the major events impacting the rest of our lives. Being flooded with political campaign information. If I do not vote the "correct way" all tragedies of the state, county and its residents are my fault.
