The French farmers are really pissed, as we are getting a glimmer through the Western MSMs reluctant tidbits on the world news segments. At least they are reporting on something outside the US continent other than the Royals latest travails.

In 2001 the US invaded Afghanistan and removed the Sunni Taliban from power. They weren't specifically enemies of Shia Iran, but they weren't allies by any means either.

Demented, arrogant, and ignorant western leaders are out of their depth and in over their heads. They are embroiled in so many conflicts they don't know if they're coming or going. Like Brer Rabbit's encounter with the tar baby we are entrapped in a morass of multiple wars of our own making. The empire's collapse looms large.

This week we've got Koko Taylor leading off with a late 70's album followed by a compilation of some great Memphis r&b from people that Sun records discovered, most of whom never became famous. After that we have a bunch of blues rock from George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers with a live album, a compilation from the Climax Blues Band in their early years, an early album from DC musicians The Nighthawks and an album from Brownsville Station. Finishing off, in the diversity department we've got a Bob Weir (Grateful Dead guitarist) album from the early 80's.
