Diaries

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from indomitable will.

This is my first diary/essay, so expect it to be disorganized, rambling and long-winded. I'm a complicated, long-winded person (500-word email replies, lol) and some(most) of what I'll layout here won't bear on the microcosm of today's events. But I feel energized enough to add my voice to this forum and share my perspectives accumulated along the way.

Bernie needs us immediately.

I have an idea. I got it from my son who loves playing video games online with his friends. During the games they use Skype to coordinate attacks against their opponents. They talk to each other while playing the game against other unsuspecting players. Here's the idea. We have over 1000 members here and we need to leverage those members to make our voices be heard. We need to work together to seem bigger then we actually are. We also need to do Bernies dirty work for him.

A Matter of Taste

These times appear to be a nexus of myriads of possibilities. The linearity of our written language imposes limitations upon what can be said simultaneously. What is presented here below is not meant to qualify in any way the ongoing effort to elect Bernie Sanders as the next President of these United States.

"Remind them succinctly that a vote for Hillary is a vote for the working class"

Does anybody here watch Comedy Central's "Broad City"? Hillary did a cameo in last night's episode. The show (produced by Amy Poehler) both celebrates and pokes fun at feminism and millennials. Last night they took aim at the Hillary campaign, with some friendly jibes.

Venture Capital firm stretches to award Clinton highest marks

Report CardThis candidate report card on tech issues has been circulating around the internet for the last couple of days. I first saw it on Ars Technica, and thought it odd that Bernie Sanders received such a low grade on Education, Talent, and Workforce. Lower than any republican!

The Basic Problem in political debate is that partisan commentary

reliably devolves into crap, because the goal is not to further understanding or enlightenment as one would do if one were discussing something concrete like how cancer cells mutate, but rather to further some political goal that underlies the conversation. So it's not honest to begin with. The goal is: I want my guy to win and I will distort everything you say or do in furtherance of that goal.

Did you receive an "Official Democratic Party Survey"?

I got my "Official 2016 Democratic Party Survey" in the mail today. Actually, it's a Debbie Wasserman Schulz DNC fundraising request, since the survey will, as usual, be ignored.

I urge everyone to do what I just did: take about 2 minutes to write "Bernie" as the answer to most questions, and tell them you are NOT donating to the DNC until Debbie Wasserman Schulz is fired, then put it in the prepaid reply envelope and mail it back to the DNC.
