I can sometimes get pretty impassioned when I believe in something. Occupy Wall St was an epiphany to me, and #BlackLivesMatter has been a labor of love, cementing my belief in the strength of activism as the cornerstone to real change. The Bernie Sanders campaign to me is the confluence of both, as well as a return to the kind of FDR populism this country so desperately needs now.

I feel it necessary to point out that a recent, highly recommended diary was very callous and insulting to the persecuted minority group that I am a member of - closed-minded, intolerant assholes.
According to a recent study, Closed-Minded, Intolerant Asshole Syndrome, or CMIAS, afflicts more than 15% of the population. Famous celebrities such Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson suffer from CMIAS (as well as alcoholism).

Think of all the money it would save on national campaign donations. No more bitter infighting. “Unity.” The left could go back to being the boogey man in bill o’reilly’s closest. We could move past this weird phase of American politics where Trump is slaying more GOP demons than the Dems have lately. The Modern Democratic party is weak across the land, receding everywhere but the coasts.

If only Bernie would just drop out.
