D.C. Kabuki Theater Feature: "Democrats Want Net Neutrality."

On December 13, 2017, the Federal Communications Commission, an agency established under "Old Democrat" Franklin D. Roosevelt, voted to repeal the net neutrality rules that the FCC had adopted during the administration of New Democrat Barack H. Obama. Now, Congressional Democrats are proceeding with a resolution under a statute that allows Congress to reverse a ruling of a federal agency, such as the FCC, with "only" a majority vote--if done within sixty days.

Florida Meet-up Cancelled

Hey, all. Despite some initial interest in the meet-up, turns out we only have three people committed to showing up. Since one of us will be driving 7-8 hours and another of us 5+ hours to get to the meet-up--and I also have a guest from out-of-state that I was going to ditch in order to keep the meet-up--I've decided to cancel for the time being. What are you tired of?

The Campaign for America's Future (CAF) is "an American nonprofit progressive political advocacy organization. Founded in 1996, the organization bills itself as "the strategy center for the progressive movement."

Putin: "Can You Hear Me Now?"

Scott Ritter has a great piece over at Truthdig about Putin's speech, especially the part about the Russian government's repeated efforts to engage the United States in negotiations over nuclear weapons agreements since we withdrew from the ABM Treaty. Ritter likens the efforts to Verizon's commercials in which a caller asks repeatedly, "Can you hear me now?"
