Retired from the U.S. Foreign Service in 2008 after tours abroad in Korea, Australia, Turkey, the Philippines, Switzerland and (twice) Japan -- some WashDC service and language schools interspersed with foreign duties. Happily settled in the "northwest corner" of the lower 48.
