In the last months before the 2016 election, I was among the peole driven off Kos because of the pro-Clinton trolls. I found C99 to be a haven of sorts, a safe place to critique the Democratic party and its machinations, the corporate loyalties of Hillary Clinton, and to promote my preferred candidate, Bernie Sanders.
There has been intense hyperventilating in the run up to the Electoral College vote, about Russian interference in the US Presidential Election. Much of it just doesn't make any sense. I will try to look at the stories and evidence and pick out the most plausible mechanisms by which Russia may have manipulated US politics to influence the election.
The NY Times looked at early voting trends, and Hillary has reason to be concerned.
Looks like young people wanted Bernie, not Hillary.
Maybe the DNC should have thought about that before rigging the nomination.
Algebra was never my thing, but I did manage to pass the class.
Lately I started thinking about the "math" of Democratic shills. It goes something like this:
1 vote for Jill Stein = 1 vote for Donald Trump
Not voting = 1 vote for Donald Trump
OK. Given these two known variables (X = Z, Y = Z), it would also be true that:
1 vote for Hillary = 1 vote for Donald Trump
Simple enough.
However, what does 1 vote for Donald Trump = ??

There is a buzz among at least a few discussion boards/gathering places of Trump volunteers that he is going to go in for one of his crazy schemes to ruin the Dem Convention for Hillary, I've been told by a person I have reason to believe. They said they are messaging several other publicly pro-Sanders journalists and bloggers.
This is a pretty simple question.
The US, the media and the upcoming election have been thrown into turmoil due to the press conference of the FBI leader James Comey, who pretty much made the case that every defense HRC has raised about her her email use are, to put it mildly, not correct.

Most of Bernie's speech was a list of what we want and fought for. What we want our country to be and to do. The only surprising thing for me was that he wants his supporters to run for political office: school boards, county commissioners, however we can get our feet in the door. I applaud this and agree strongly. That is what it will take for real change. From the bottom up, which is how change happens.
