I recently read the books mentioned here, found them to be essential reads, and also find it amazing how the UK and US seem to have an infinite ability to whitewash our own recent past and the implications of same.
As Rachel Maddow would say, "Russia!Russia!Russia!"
Consider this recent WashPost headline: Russia secretly offered North Korea a nuclear power plant, officials say
Peace is only good if it's proposed by someone with a (D) next to their name, so at least a couple of outraged (D) Senators have decided to take matters into their own hands.
Senators move to prevent Trump from removing US troops in South Korea
Here's the headline:
Gareth Porter's article today at Truthout is essential reading in understanding the treasonous action of our military industrial complex, which is willing to nuke all or part of the American people in exchange for wealth and power. It connects not only Cheney and Rumsfeld, but, without mentioning him, James Comey, who was Lockheed counsel and thus part of the proliferation lobby dedicated to destroying nuclear disarmament.
In 2006 I posted this diary at Dkos about Rumsfeld and George W. Bush enabling the North Korean nuclear weapons project. The last point in the FORTUNE article still concerns me. Are we subsidizing, never mind approving, private companies efforts to provide us with enemies?
...The Bush administration... authorized $3.5 million to keep the project going
North Korea has sent three emergency letters to the United Nations Secretary-General Guterres in the last 23 days regarding the war threats and preparations made by Madman Trump and the United States of America that elected him to represent this country.
(Trump represents this country. Heh. Get it?)
Here's the latest one:
While reading about Kos' latest tweet whining and bitching about the Russians, there was a link to an article on Mint Press News about the ban hammer Kos leveled on those of us who refused to fall in line by March of last year.
It was also at Mint Press News that I came across this article.
