Those of you who have read my writings know that I do not write for effect. I write to put down thoughts that have become "ripe" and need to be exposed. I also write to expose my thoughts to others in order that I do not stray too far from reality.

I have been writing less and less since Trump was elected. That is partly because I have a mixed set of reactions and don't want to sound too incoherent. Politics in this country is theater and bad theater at best.

So we have been watching the new play in our political theater for a while now. Somewhere along the line the first 100 days were chosen to tell us something. I'm not sure I can tell you what it is supposed to be.
Meanwhile these things are out there and are really no where near new.
Trump is a very good actor (or con man if you like) but a very poor leader.
The system is insensitive to who is "managing" it. (Or mismanaging it)
Elections are a distraction.

The major purpose for elections in this country is to keep the people from dealing with what is happening to them. The TV watching public likes to be entertained and will be consumed by even very bad theater. This time it is very important that the ploy works because the reality out there is terrifying. How can people not see it? They are blinded by the electoral theater. It eats up resources and energy while the system grinds on and continues to grow and ravage the earth.

We are about to see the end point of the Democratic Party scam that they called a "Primary". The Republicans are doing their version and the theater just gets more and more sickening.

Stealing the First Lady's speech has caused another wave of reaction to the well established disregard for truth or ethics that should be expected by now.

I have virtually stopped writing and read less and less. I feel very alone. I am watching a system fall apart and as I watch the people in it seem to be engaged in even more theater than before.

This is not an election we are watching and maybe participating in. It does not even resemble an election. For years and years some of us have pointed out that our elections are a theater used by the oligarchy to narcotize a television watching audience.
