Back in the 80's Leona Helmsley famously said, "We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes."
She could just as easily have said the same about committing terrorism.
On December 5, two masked men used their vehicles to block a car with two water protectors inside and then verbally assaulted and threatened them with violence. One of the attackers then chased another man, who was filming the encounter. The two videos below are two different views, one from inside the car, the other from outside the car. Warning: violent language and aggressive threats (each vid is 2-3 mins). I can't seem to embed the FB video, but the first link below is from inside the car. **Edited: I found a Youtube version of the video from inside the car

I feel like I am in a waking nightmare, with so much happening that seems to be rolling us back to the bad old days.
Back in the 80's we once heard Aussie Dr. Helen Caldicott speak in Austin while she was on a tour promoting doing away with nuclear weapons. She said Americans were suffering from 'psychic numbing' with all the fail and catastrophes that were surrounding each day, and thus were not taking the necessary action destroy nuclear weapons.
I totally missed this March article at Alternet. The VES Program just hit L.A.
There's a community meeting on this program taking place at LACAN (Los Angeles Community Action Network) so I may have a local update later.
Just what we need. Further militarization of high school campuses.
Under new guidelines, Muslim students will be disproportionately targeted – but all young people will be suspect.
... because I posted a shortish rant to my Facebook page and shit then promptly blew up, lol. I guess I might be outing myself here, but truly, a lot people already know my real name and stuff.
I'm bound to piss off someone with this, but I hope most of you can dig it:

Imma rant now, and rant hard:
At around 2 am Florida time on June 12, 2016, Omar Mateen walked up to a Florida gay club with an AR-15 and started shooting. The security officer engaged him, but was unable to stop him. The gunman went in, killed 50 people, wounded many more. Eventually, a SWAT team went in and killed the shooter.

Report from Boise: Fourth of Five Part Series by Jacob Waldeck
The leaders in the cities made the fairest professions:
on the one side with the cry of political equality of the people,
on the other of a moderate aristocracy;
but they sought prizes for themselves
in those public interests which they pretended to cherish.

The elites have been running a successful "war on terror" scam on American citizens and tax payers. It's horror could be usefully contrasted with gun deaths in America. It's outcome could be determined decisively in the 2016 elections. First, take a look at a simple, narrow comparative illustration, before viewing the full comparison of the respective horrors of gun deaths and "terrorist" deaths and their costs to society.
During the 12 months of 2015, 1 January to 31 December, 16 people died and 22 were injured in two Islamicist attacks in the U.S.A.1
During the first nine and a half months of 2015, 1 January to 14 October, toddlers with guns killed 15 and injured 28 people in the U.S.A. 2
