France threatens criminal charges against media.

French media have been warned not to publish content from any emails allegedly hacked from presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron's campaign team, to prevent the outcome of the vote being influenced.

It comes after Mr Macron's team said it has been the target of a "massive and coordinated" hacking attack ahead of Sunday's presidential runoff.

France's presidential election commission also said it could be criminal offence to republish any campaign data.

French law is by no mean absolutist when it comes to protecting free speech, but this appears to be a much bigger step in the wrong direction. Even so, I can't help thinking that all this government attention shone on the Macron leaks is self defeating.

Interesting that the one thing she did ask about, the blackberry, she was told not to use.

Not a ton of new information, but when laid out clearly there is an obvious attempt to evade having to comply with FOIA requests at the minimum.

The reality is probably even much more insidious.

I guess the rules don't matter if you are Clinton.

An Associated Press review of the official calendar Hillary Clinton kept as secretary of state identified at least 75 meetings with longtime political donors, Clinton Foundation contributors and corporate and other outside interests that were not recorded or omitted the names of those she met.

How does someone so "smart" and good at getting things done unable to keep accurate records? Is it because she is incapable? Or is she hiding something?

Today is Memorial Day. This is a day about which many Americans think as the start of summer vacation. Memorial day is the day of the Indianapolis 500 race--rapidly going around in circles to return to the starting point--more about this later. Another notion held by the vast majority of americans, especially those born after the ending of World War 2, is that this is a day on which to spend money on sales, sales, sales. How many citizens remember the true purpose of Memorial Day?
