Protests

Last night the real debate was in the city council chambers in Charlotte, NC

There has been a lot of commentary on the farce of a debate brought to the USA public by the corporate controllers. And a lot of people who either boycotted it, or plain refused to make themselves ill watching it. I tried to watch it after the real debate, which was watched by a bit less than 2000 people who followed the City Council meeting in Charlotte, NC.

The Revolution is Winning -- Tactics -- Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA

Please watch the embedded video from Storm Clouds Gathering.

I spent Thursday and Friday night watching live feed of the protest in Charlotte and the supporting protests in Atlanta, also following twitter, and FB feeds of supporters of the protests and the general flow of "commentary" on twitter, you-tube and so on. I would like to share my observations:

Who do you think is telling the truth?

"Scott’s family who have insisted that he was disabled, sitting in his car reading a book, and had no gun. “He sits in the shade, reads his book and waits on his kid to get off the bus,” Scott’s sister told reporters. “He didn’t have no gun, he wasn’t messing with nobody.” He was the father of seven children.

Amerika, Land of the Haves and Have Nots, or, Where Art Thou Occupy?

The rich keep getting richer. That's as old as the hills. Hard to say when the first time that was said, maybe when Grok said it to Gruk. It's not a new thing that's for sure. People used to complain about the Rockefellers, Morgans and Rothchilds back in the day, still do. Now we have the rich, the very rich, the very, very rich, and the very, very fucking rich. Some of them we know, most of them we don't.

Helvítis Fokking Fokk! Iceland reacts to the Panama Papers.

If you haven't heard of the Panama Papers, you need to. Leaked from a Panamanian law firm, it's one of the largest leaks of all time, revealing the way some of the world's most controversial leaders hide their assets. Allies of Vladimir Putin. Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko. King Salman of Saudi Arabia. Ayad Allawi of Iraq. Top Chinese officials. The son of the Malaysian prime minister.

A Campaign Manager's Perspective on the anti-Trump Protests

A lot of people lately have been commenting on how the anti-Trump protests could hurt Bernie Sanders' election chances. I thought I would share my views on this issue from the perspective of a campaign manager. Caveat: this is not my *moral* opinion on how things are or how they should be. This is my political opinion of the effect of anti-Trump protests on Sanders' electoral viability.

A few points about the situation:
