Because New York has a closed primary, only voters enrolled in the Democratic Party can vote in the presidential primary, but ALL voters, including independents, can vote in this special election for the State Senate. But even if you can't vote for Bernie on Tuesday, there is a reason to go to the poll if live in New York's 9th State Senate District (Long Beach, Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, Cedarhurst, Valley Stream, Baldwin, Oceanside and other South Shore municipalities).

For all those beautiful people I have spoken with on the phonebanking this morning (and those I will speak with later today and tomorrow!!!) For those wonderful, smart folk who are going out EN MASS to canvas their neighbors and spread the word about the best candidate that has run for the Democratic party nomination in almost 100 years!
