The election distraction lingers on. Meanwhile everyone is gearing up to spend like crazy for the "holidays". The only real way to try to stop the onslaught we are making on the climate is to change our habits in a big way. What better way to start than by not spending except for what we really need to live?

My husband's 98 year old aunt died one week ago. She had been ready to go for about two years and died peacefully in her sleep early Wednesday morning. We all should be so lucky.
so dang. Reading about Thanksgiving is giving me the creeps.
George Washington finally suggested that only one day of Thanksgiving per year be set aside instead of celebrating each and every massacre.
That pretty much tells the story. Thanksgiving fits in with so many of our American holidays.
