Welcome to Saturday ~ Healing

Most of us (way too many of us at least) live on the world's crappiest diet. It's called the Standard American Diet, or SAD. It consists of a preponderance of carbohydrates, sugars, processed foods and unhealthy fats. We also commonly eat three main meals a day and snack in between. In terms of what it is doing to our bodies, this is suicide on the installment plan.
Yesterday was the start of the Stanley Cup Finals. It was also the day, 3 years ago, we lost our Shinobi (Shi-No-Be) to very old age. I shared about our loss and I shared about what a good girl Shinobi was. I hadn't been able to do that in so long, mostly because we had been inundated with so many other deaths. 10 in 8 years. So we are healing. Yesterday was healing.
And I wanted to test out my home here on CC99%. I feel like a bit of a rescue pup here myself.
I am the father of three beautiful children, two young adults and a teen. One of them is LGBTQ with a beautiful partner. Mrs. Clinton's appalling comment yesterday made me stop and reflect. My condolences go to every person hurt by her comment; especially to those who lost loved ones and friends. She callously raked open barely healed wounds for millions of folks. My well wishes and prayers go out to you for healing. And justice.
