ALERT - DHS: We May Declare Elections System 'Critical Infrastructure'

I interrupt these regular pie fights of nothing burgers with an important update from Sane Progressive and the DHS wanting to declare our election systems "critical infrastructure".

Stop and think about that, if you can pull yourself away from gossiping at the water cooler, what would the "potential" be, if DHS took over our election systems?

Are our elections important to you? Just saying....

Taboos and Lies

I've been thinking about the things we don't talk about (in the USA). We can talk about many things here. There are no rules forbidding it. But even here, some of these subjects are hot potatoes. And if there is an official story, parts of it are likely to be defended. It is as if we live lies, which must not be challenged.

I've explained why this label doesn't make sense, but not everyone will buy that explanation. So instead, let's focus on some real-world examples of election rigging being caught.

OK, Wait a minute!

I'm hearing WAY too many people going back to talking about politics as usual, and just accepting that Bernie got screwed over in the primaries, in depth no less, but what do we do NOW? -And honestly, I've found myself getting caught up in that. But at least speaking for myself, that has to end. FULL STOP.

Here we are folks, less than a week until the Democratic National Convention and the countdown finally begins. Cue the curtain call to political theater; we've seen this all before. So then why do I feel something is different this time? Maybe because we are hoping all of Bernie's delegates make it to the floor, crash through the veneer of bullshit, and become the voices of 12 million people who were jilted by the Democratic Party.

One important battle for election integrity is being waged by the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus

In particular there is H.R. 5131 Verifying Optimal Tools for Elections or “VOTE” Act of 2016.
by Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Georgia). Let your local representatives know that you are aware of the movement toward honest elections and you expect him or her to come on board.

How bad are the statistics of TOP? & misc stuff

I have not followed their statistics.

Just for the heck of it, I clicked on one source. (not sure if this is the source someone else gave)

Their international ranking fell 227 levels in the last 3o days and now they rank 1,528 globally. Their rank in the US is 353

That comes from the Alexa site. It looks like you have to pay to get more data.
