Just sitting here with not a lot of time on my hands as usual. But inspired by Caitlin Johnstone's latest essay-made-into-video to put something together from bits over the course of today. Just a much-needed lift. For myself, and I hope you too.
Just finished watching the PBS film "The Last Laugh," and was piqued to watch the Chaplin film in its entirety for the first time tonight. The reason I'm aware of the speech is because it went viral during Occupy and it moved me deeply. I see it again as being pretty much a perfect video for these times, and for the C99 family to relish and take inspiration from.
There is no legal record of Charles Spenser Chaplin's birthplace. He was born to music hall entertainers in 1889, and when he was two, both became estranged. They never lived together again.
