Bolsonaro supporters attempting coup in Brazil

By virtually every poll for the 2022 election, Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro is losing by double-digits to former president Lula da Silva. What's more, the direction of the polling is going against Bolsonaro as well.
In the spirit of desperate times require desperate measures, Bolsonaro is pulling a Trumpian January 6.
Last week I pointed our meddling in Mexico's elections.
Now some are asking about our involvement in rigging the last Brazilian election.
Imagine that you are president of a country gripped by a pandemic, and a reporter asks you to comment about the record number of deaths that day. Of all the possible responses you could think of, would "So what?" be your first choice?
Just over a year ago Bolsonaro had this to say.
Glenn Greenwald is now officially Next.
Greenwald has been accused of hacking the phone calls of Brazil's Justice Minister Sergio Moro when he was the judge overseeing the corruption case that ultimately cost former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva his freedom.
For every rule there is an exception.
For the countless corrupt politicians there is the rare honest and principled one.
In America it's Sanders. In Britain it's Corbyn.
In Brazil it's Lula.
Summer arrived this week bringing more heat with both the weather and arrogant American aggression. We refuse to learn, and so march ever quicker toward our own extinction. In part, I refer to global heating and the US refusal to even admit it is a problem...as we continue to market "Freedom" gas and crisscross our nation with poisonous pipelines. Even worse, we promote coups and war in Central and South America, the middle East, the Ukraine, and all around the world. All promoted by the corporate greed of fossil fuel, finance, arms manufacture, and all our covert mafia like secret agencies. The facade of democracy peeled away long ago. We are trapped in a corporate oligarchy...victims of a run away profit motive which over rides all sensible approaches toward a peaceful, productive planet which treats people with respect, equality, and justice.
The United Snakes of America is spreading its poison again...this time declaring the elected president of Venezuela is a dictator, and recognizing the leader of the assembly as president. That's like Russia and China announcing Pelosi is now our president. The Carter Center stated "As a matter of fact, of the 92 elections that we've monitored, I would say that the election process in Venezuela is the best in the world." Old tiny hands, the liar in chief, is at it again. We use slightly different strategies in different countries to prop up corporate hacks as president. Both parties have been complicit. Consider Honduras and the stolen election the US recently recognized. Not to mention the coup supported by Obomber and the $hill. Brazil provides more evidence of our support of corporatists with the illegal removal of Dilma, and the imprisonment of Lula on trumped up charges. Bannon was in Brazil promoting Bolsonaro as was the CIA.
I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested.

When the government is owned and controlled by corporate oligarchs (like some sort of feudal lord and master), how can politics offer a path to social and economic reclamation and restoration of the ecosystem? Add in the distortion of corporate media and it seems like checkmate.
