News today is that Beto has quit the campaigning.
One fewer bodies on the debate stage. He did throw some support Tulsi's way during the Hillary thing (I wonder if they told him to get out after that?!?). But, he is a corporatist to the core.
No tears from me.
Remember Beto? The guy who managed to lose to Ted Cruz - a senator that even Republicans don't like? Did he ever feel like a manufactured candidate to you?

Gee, I wonder how that happened?
Well, today, according to the Texas Tribune, former Texas congressman Beto O'Rourke is going to announce that he's a candidate for the Democratic Party's nomination for U.S. President in 2020. Slate's Josh Vorhees has penned what, in your humble blogger's opinion, is one of the best political campaign takedown pieces I've read in quite awhile.
Various news reports, over the past couple of days, have indicated that former Vice President Joe Biden and former Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke are preparing to enter the overcrowded, 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary fray.
(Personally, I think Biden's candidacy is still iffy; but, these latest stories are indicating he's making moves to enter the race.)
