Public policies that lead to the premature death of the citizen, is a policy of social murder.

The American healthcare system is often touted as one of the best in the world, however, in reality, it is a deeply flawed system that has resulted in the needless deaths of tens of thousands of our fellow citizens each year. This is due in large part to America's public policy towards healthcare, which prioritizes profits over people.

Imagine trying to defeat a sitting president that is running on a platform of economic prosperity, and the opposition party can't/won't challenge that claim. That near insurmountable task is what the establishment Democratic candidates would have to overcome should one win the nomination.

Last week a bill that was supposed to include provisions to stop surprise medical billing died an ignoble death partly by Democrats in the House voting it down. Lotta support, Dem leaders, Republican leaders, White House, but someone put the kabosh on it, didn't end up in the spending bill.
