Blessed are the Peacemakers

It's Memorial Day Weekend. Why is it we always memorialize warriors, but not those who work for peace? So today let's celebrate those who work for people and planet. I thought it might be fun for everyone to add agents of peace they have encountered in the comments. As we begin it is important to consider that perfection is not a human condition. However some people are drawn into the service of peace because they see the insanity of war. Smedley Butler comes to mind...both a soldier and a peacemaker.

-What would make progressives less likely to vote for a democratic party congressional representative:

-opposition to Medicare for All and support for Social Security privatization, or

-support for U.S. imperialism and Israeli apartheid?

Are progressives democrats? And since it's a fact that the Democratic party, not just the "corporate democrats" and not just the "democratic party establishment", THE democratic party officially FULLY SUPPORTS U.S. imperialism, are progressives also imperialist warmongers?

Back in September 2000, the neocon/Zionist think tank, Project for New American Century (PNAC), published a 90 page report called "Rebuilding America's Defenses - Strategy, Forces, and Resources for a New Century." PNAC was founded by neocon/Zionists William Kristol and Robert Kagan and included many of the neocons that infested the Bush administration starting in 2001.

Rex Tillerson, war criminal Secretary of State, had a talk with Condoleeza Rice, another war criminal Secretary of State and pulled a Madeline Albright, another war criminal Secretary of State.

Questions for the audience:

Do all politicians of a political party agree to support the official party platform?

Are citizens who vote for political party politicians also supporting the party platform? If not supporting, are they validating it?

For all those democrats, particularly those on partisan democratic party blogs like Daily Kos, who think Hillary Clinton would have been better than Trump the Paler.
