This morning I saw a video criticizing "Liz Truss' energy policy". The gist was:
1, by capping out of pocket energy bills at $2500/yr (actually pounds, but $s are less confusing to Americans and my computer doesn't have a pound symbol) all the money will eventually go to the rich. And,
2, since all bills will exceed $2500/yr no matter what there is no incentive to reduce usage.
In the current debate concerning the proliferation of anti abortion laws, I keep hearing how men want to control women’s bodies. But this argument is belied by the number of women who support these bills including the governor of Alabama who signed their bill into law almost as soon as it was passed by the legislature.
Governor Brian Kemp signed the “Heartbeat” Bill into law today, making abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected illegal beginning in 2020. This is another attempt to throw the topic of abortion into the now very conservative Supreme Court.
