List of Non-Corporate Candidates for Pacifica Radio Stations (WBAI, KPFT, KPFK, KPFA and WPFW)
I posted about this a few months ago, but the Pacifica Radio Stations board elections are coming up and a group of people is trying to take the board back from the infiltrators who are looking to break up the radio stations for their own profit. Pacifica Radio Stations features the fantastic Amy Goodman and is one of the few places you can still hear a genuine liberal voice at least some of the time.
If you donated $25 or more in the past year (with a cutoff before June 30, 2016) I believe, you are eligible to vote for board members for the specific station you donated to. Please find the non-corporate recommendations here: http://pacificainexile.org/archives/2059
I'm not sure how much long is left to vote (the website doesn't specify), but I don't think there's a lot of time.

How should I know whom to vote for?
I don't know any of them. I can vote, but have no clue for whom.

Mimi, there is a link
In the essay to recommendations of good people to vote for.
yes, thx, I read through the link, with regards to my
local station, there is nothing in that link that would help me though. I am not familiar with the internals described there. Guess I just continue to donate to them. It would be a huge shame if any of those go bancrupt.

This is interesting! I never donated to a radio station, but I
wish them all the best! We need more not-corporate-controlled media.
