Early Bird Seed for Pre-Dawn (not today's OT :=)
Good morning early birds. Here's a little bit of seed for thought over coffee. Tear along the edge for more.

When a man whose marriage was in trouble sought his advice, the Master said, "You must learn to listen to your wife".
The man took this advice to heart and returned after a month to say that he had learned to listen to every word his wife was saying.
Said the Master with a smile, "Now go home and listen to every word she isn't saying".

There’s a story about the pirate who into a bar and ended up talking with the bartender.
The bartender asked him, “How did you get that peg?”
“A big ol’ shark came up to me while I was swimmin’ off me ship and bit off me leg,” said the pirate.
“Where did you get that hook then?”
“Well, me crew and I were in a battle and me hand was cut off by a sword.”
“And how did you get the eye patch?”
“We were anchored in harbour and I looked up just as a filthy sea gull relieved itself - right in me eye.”
The bartender was puzzled. “How would that make you need an eye patch?”
“Well,” said the pirate, “it was me first day with the hook.”

Good morning Gerrit.
Nice to see you this morning.
I have been busy the past week and a half and so have not been keeping up with all the news here.
I am up early though and ready to get busy. Your musical selections made me smile. And it does seem that;
is more accurate these days than ever. A variant on that idea is;
Good morning, rand. I hope you have a great day today mate.
I am glad for the early morning smile! I like the music clip! I'll listen to more at youtube. Thanks,

Here's another
to wake us up
The Pope met with Bern in his residence! This is YUUGE!!
What a wonderful morning! All that "he's not even going to speak" and "the Pope will be in Greece" and "the PASS isn't the Vatican". Sorry, Hill people. Bern stayed at the Pope's residence and spoke at the conference and has now met the Pope, where the Pope went out of his way to take 5 minutes to discuss climate change and economic inequality (they were supposed to meet earlier but something about preparations for the Pope's trip interfered, so the Pope made sure they met this morning).
Oh, the jealousy from the Hill people, it Berns!! BWAA-ha-ha-ha!!
Yes, I did drop a link into the "Hill-safe diary" this morning.

Birds of a feather
The Pope is a very thoughtful fellow so I would have been surprised if he had let Sanders leave without a meeting. On the other hand the whole thing had the potential for political fallout so the Pope has to be careful about not letting the thing get blown out of hand. I'm sure that Francis would rather see Sanders as President given the other misfits in the race---great minds think alike sometimes Of course he can't say that until November.
Saw the pope news when I woke up
What a great way to wake up. Things are happening!
Eta: forget hill people, the hill herself must be chewing bumblebees right now. Ha ha
Yikes folks :=) Pls move Bernie-Francis comments to the OT;
this was just early bird wake up stuff. Sorry!

Sorry thought it was OT
My bad, Haikukitty. Sorry. I meant it for pre-dawn early birds
:=) I'll add "not OT" to the title, so that I don't mislead folks over their post-dawn coffees!

No worries ;)
I woke up to the cnn alert and was so excited I just jumped on the first pope thing I saw without really paying attention. I'll plead lack of coffee, hadn't even had any yet.
Sorry, I too thought it was open thread with news!
Seeds, ya know. Seemed like we should be scattering about random thoughts.

Morning elenac :=) It looks like you, me, and haikuk are cat
people. I have a dog, but my darling kitty "Duchess", a russian blue, escaped into the street and was run over. I will find another kitty when the time is right. My wife and daughter want to open a cattery when we move next year. That would be very cool.
Next time I'm up pre-dawn, I'll be sure to add a note to the title to make sure I don't confuse folks. I hope you have a great day today,

Hi, Gerrit! I have two cats and a dog, so I guess I'm 2/3 of
a cat person! Love all animals, though. Mammals and birds, anyway. So sorry about your kitty! Yes, I would love to have time and money to take in more animals. But these three keep me on my toes.
It has been a pretty good day, sunny and warm. With all these photo diaries on here, I can see I'm going to have to brush up my photo skills!

Good morning elena. You'll be happy to hear that the site's
photo uploading is user-friendly. Just click the photo icon - first on the left of the toolbar - and it will walk you through it. I'm a schmuck with tech stuff, but I learned it (with lots of oopsies :=) Have a good day eh,

Good Morning, Gerrit!
Another beautiful sunny blue-sky day here, hope it looks similar, nearly due north.
My canvassing yesterday, while not that successful, made me feel energized and involved; I signed up for Bernie phone-banking, there's an app for that. I think I could be quite good on the phone and I have ties to both KY and IN where I may be able to connect.
There is an extremely interactive site, linked to in ScholarZ's essay yesterday, you can choose a state to call, there are phone target #s given, and I think the app hands off phone#, first name, for personalized calling. What a good way to make this people-powered! Check it out, if you have not.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Good morning riverlover, I hope yo uhave a great day. Good on
you fro going out canvassing and being energized even if the results weren't what you had wished. I'll go look at the link; TY :=)

And another
to get us all moving
When, oh when am I gonna get my life back?
Reading this stuff at 4 AM and 12 Noon and 4 PM and 7 PM. I am addicted to politics--let's get Bernie elected so I can get some sleep.
Hah, hah, good morning Alligator Ed! C99 sure rocks with lots
of great info and discussions. You're right eh: let's get Bernie elected so we can get our lives back :=) Oh, wait. Doesn't he go on about a political revolution? The one that starts on Nov 9? And goes on until democracy is ensured and democratic socialism is the economic basis and the justice system is transformed and climate resiliency defines our infrastructure and...Uh-oh. Ed, I don't think we have lives anymore :=)
Have a great day, mate,
