Submitted by joe shikspack on Sat, 10/15/2022 - 3:00pm
Afternoon folks!
We've got some blues with a New Orleans flavor this week, compilation albums from Smiley Lewis and The Meters. There's also some Ten Years Afer and Stone The Crows in the blues-rock department. There's some stuff from two Carlene Carter albums, one mostly recorded with Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe. For a further change of pace, we've got Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen and Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks.
Enjoy!
Here 'tis:
Smiley Lewis - The Bells Are Ringing
The Meters - Second Line Strut
Ten Years After - Alvin Lee & Co.
Stone The Crows - Ontinuous Performance

Just wanted to drop this sad news in about a location, a cultural, historical, ecological, and iconic place, that may disappear if the f'cking developer grabs the Luckenbach name. The dance hall and general store is gonna disappear forever. A judge and jury decide the ultimate fate of that place where Jerry Jeff Walker still "lives". Trial is this month, so in 2 weeks we will know.
Bye bye, Bluebonnets, and all those wildflowers Lady Bird's program inspired. And there will be no place where everybody is somebody.
