Both Parties Are Not The Same

I am getting fed up with people assuming that my objection to both parties means that I think they are the same, I don't.

I think the Republican Party is now bat-shit crazy, racist, misogynist, homophobic, warmongering and corrupt

I think that the Democratic Party is just warmongering and corrupt.

There, you see, there are fundamental differences.

It's the similarities that get me, we must vote for the least bad is the meme du jour.

This major California update just popped up on my Facebook feed

Sigh. I had really wanted my first essay here to be more substantive, but I wanted to share this and hadn't seen anyone else post it.

Emailgate, round 5--Bryan "the Connection" Pagliano

Good evening emailgate fans. Technically, this series of Judicial Watch FOIA-based depositions should now be named Emailgate 1.0 because of a brand-new Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) email scandal, which should rightly be titled Emailgate 2.0. However for the sake of clarity, we will continue to refer to the earlier scandal simply as emailgate.

The real Social Security story

For those who have actually read the report, not just the Executive Summary, you understand that of the 4 scenarios presented in each SS Trustees report, the low cost scenario indicates that SS is good thru 2090, paying 100% of benefits.

We also understand that in the Intermediate scenario, which is cited in the Executive Summary, full benefits are possible thru 2090 if people who are looking for work get jobs.

Which news stories did news of the sit in displace?

I've read that you should, of course, take note of a big political news story, but you should also note which other story or stories it knocks out of the news. I imagine this applies especially when timing of an event, such as a sit in, is optional.

So, this afternoon, Wednesday, June 22, 2016, I learned this happened.

Jill Stein/Green Party, Ballot Access (hopefully 47 states), and Bernie's Revolution

Jill Stein/the Green Party hopes to get onto the ballot in 47 states. Counterpunch and Politico have very good articles about this. Here is Politico: http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/06/2016-campaign-election-hi...
