FBI Forced to Cough Up Proof that they Confirmed Allegations in the Steele Dossier

In January 2017, US District Court Judge Amit Mehta sided with the FBI on their decision to ignore FOIA requests concerning their efforts to verify the controversial Steele Dossier, before it was used as the foundation of their application for a FISA surveillance warrant. The Judge ruled that Trump's tweets about the dossier didn't require the FBI and other intelligence agencies to act on records requests.

But by the end of the week on Friday, August 17th, Judge Mehta changed his mind. He said that President Trump's release of two House Intelligence Committee documents (the "Nunes" and "Schiff" memos) changed everything. He now wants to see the actual corroborations that the FBI said they had at that time, that confirmed the outrageous allegations that were made in the Steele dossier. "The ground shifted," writes Mehta of Trump declassifying the House memos. "As a result of the Nunes and Schiff Memos, there is now in the public domain meaningful information about how the FBI acquired the Dossier and how the agency used it to investigate Russian meddling."

I think all of us would all like to see the proof that those corroborations were made.

I am not a fan of Donald Trump. But I’m still extremely happy that the Clinton Creature didn’t win. The Dims tried to pull a fast one to get Mrs It’s-My-Turn into the White House. Now they’re trying to censor what we say, what sites are officially ‘approved’ for us to go to, and who is ‘worthy’ to be on the internet. Thats Al From/Bill Clinton’s Koch-Brothers-financed, Third Way, Neo-liberal, ‘New’ Democratic Party who's doing this. The Clinton’s have destroyed the left.

Dancing Around the Issues

This is the old-time dance weekend on the mountain. I won't be around till this evening. So, I thought we would take a break from the news and I would share with you a little of what I know about old-time southern dance and music. The music and the dance go together...usually one time through the tune, one time through the dance. In the past just hearing the tune told you which dance to do. Southern music and dance is a cultural amalgam. It builds on a base of British country dance and tunes, illustrates the influence of the French quadrilles with square dances, cranks up the drive with African rhythms and slave dances like the Calenda and Chica, and finally includes a dash of native American dance with calls like “single file Indian style”. This is the dance form of working people...a barn dance. These people hadn't studied with a dancing master, so one person called or prompted the figures....circle, line, square, couple, and set dances are among its many forms. Both the dance and the music are cooperative efforts.
