Woman Calls Out Florida Governor Rick Scott at a Starbucks, Makes News and Earns My Admiration
Cara Jennings, a woman in Florida, is seen, and heard, verbally chastising Gov. Rick Scott in a Starbucks in Gainesville, Fla., in a YouTube video posted just yesterday, but already has over 150,000 views. "You're an asshole. You don't care about working people. You should be ashamed to show your face around here."
"You stripped women of access to public health care. Shame on you, Rick Scott. We depend on those services. Rich people like you don’t know what to do. When poorer people like us need services you cut them. Shame on you Rick Scott! You’re an embarrassment to our state!"
The clip is featured in numerous news articles and television stations.

I respect and admire this woman. We, as humans, as citizens, as noble creatures, should all be as informed about our politicians, and as prepared and courageous as Ms. Jennings to speak up when the moment presents itself. I seriously doubt I would perform as well under similar circumstances.
Jennings has provided free content to newspapers, but also has demonstrated a way of living life that more should aspire to emulate.
She told ABC Action News that she was working in the coffee shop when she saw the governor walk in with his entourage. "I didn’t think about whether I should do it or not," she said. "I thought, 'Here’s my chance to tell the governor how I feel about the horrible bill." NYMag.com
Near the end of the clip, after Scott has left and customers are resuming their routines, the man videoing the entire incident caresses the moment and blurts out his feelings, "Sweet." Jennings allows herself a small smile.
Jennings, a former Lake Worth city commissioner, later told ABC Action News customers “came up to me and thanked me.”
In case Jennings or anyone else needs another reason to yell at Scott, remember: The two-term Republican is one of only three sitting governors to have endorsed Donald Trump for president, and he refused to denounce the blabbering businessman’s Islamophobia. NY Daily News
NYMag.com notes, Governor Scott left Starbucks without his latte.

Love Gville
I lived there for 4-5 years during the Lawton Chiles years. Some of the best years of my life were there during grad school at UF. Very proud of this woman calling this humanoid goblin out for the stain on society he is.
gainesville is one of the most progressive towns in florida
i drove all the way from orlando a few years ago, just to check in at the civic media center, a bastion of alternative media. i wish tom petty would make some noise about this crooked character.
rick scott should have know enough to come there incognito, rather than to face public ridicule as the fraud and huckster is always was and always will be.
this is not really a place that is friendly to rightwing extremists of his ilk.
And Nobody Applauded??
'Cause I sure would have had I been there.
