I've never seen the daffodils bloom so well...reminds me of this poem-

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud
By William Wordsworth

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Here's the path to the garden yesterday.

gives me a sense of well-being. Noticed a few people milling about the old hardware this morning, way down traffic wise. Calm, i like calm.

Were i you, i might take the shoes off and dance in those daffodils.

Thanks for the poem and picture of splendid Spring.

Raining here now, gently for days to come. A month late. I saw a bumble bee out yesterday. Confused as to where the normal stash of flowers are. Looking.

The world is slowing to a halt. Needed certainly. Cosmic hands move in uncharted ways. Hoping for healing, I am for all beings.

May your day be filled with peace.

The Dawn of a New World
What's that you say,
the world is different today?
The people are hunkering down
of their own accord
to stay safe
from the stealth
that will steal their health
or that of a love.

What's that you say,
a shift has occurred today?
The shift has been coming
but you were too busy to see.
The shift will change our world
and how we are to be.

What's that you say,
an unrecognizable world today?
Feet planted firmly on the ground
with no one uttering a sound
I look around
and see that you've found,
the world is different today
and it is time to adjust
to the new order
of our fellow human
as one.

What's that you say,
the world is different today?
Take my hand and walk with me
as we move through this life becoming
aware of the humanity we have forsaken
for the consumption we have taken
to the grotesque extreme we see.

What's that you say,
you want to make a difference today?

Have a beautiful day and be aware, live aware. Pleasantry

market for spuds, carrots, broccoli, shrooms and, if we're lucky, maybe beets. We'll also pick up our weekly chunk of fresh caught local salmon. It's open air, and if the patrons maintain adequate interpersonal separation, should be low risk. Things change, but also stay the same, one must carry on, as they say. Bread making day today too - all these little rituals of life isolate one from the shocks to some extent, but also entail a small community that goes along all the same no matter.

Take care of yourself extra well these days.

Have a good one.

@enhydra lutris I went out to do the regular Sat. morning shopping to find some store shelves empty and very very biggly long long checkout lines at grocery stores around 8:30AM today. Only certain things were wiped out fresh milk, paper towels and toilet paper among the sold out items. I bought some shelf stable milk, rice and dried beans just in case of supply chain breakdown. I'm pretty sure NY is the state with the most cases in the US at this time
People around here are freaked out mostly due to a big local news push about a Mom and her school kid testing positive in one of the local middle schools. I guess she (the Mom) works at the school. So now the entire school needs testing but many will have to wait for it. Just about all the local school districts have canceled classes for a while. They are now trying to figure out if there is some way to do distance learning.

a bonus in having a good market to enjoy and reading your list, i am compelled to ask, what time is dinner? Smile

Ran into a cabbage bargain, .33/pound. So i've some shredding and chopping to do. Find myself having it Al dente with butter, of late and as usual, i'll make sauerkraut.

'Times, they are a changin'

Stocked up here, and have a few n95 masks a friend gifted me last summer, he works for 3M. Used one yesterday down the mountain in Aldi's supermarket, i was the only one in costume, but received no glaring stares or funny looks, save one from a teenager. Put it on car dashboard, figure the sun's rays should keep it clean.

You two take good care as well and have a lovely weekend.

Have had some Shen Yun tickets for April 8th.
Just got an email from them saying because of the virus emergency they are re-scheduling it five days later to April 12th.
Not sure how that even helps.
Wait and see.
$450 tickets though.
Whup, snowing again.

Love snow peas, a long time favorite especially fresh ones. Brilliant purple against the snow in your photo seems to say melt snow we've dancing to do.

Speaking of dancing, in his book The Empty Space,1968, Peter Brook forecast the extreme tickets prices we see today.

Hope the timing change doesn't impact your ability to go, Shen Yun should be an experience to remember.

Saw blossoms down the mtn. yesterday, but we normally get big heavy snow storms in March.

Hoping you've a wonderful weekend.

Kinda worn a little today as well. Cancelled my trip to the hill, grew afraid that the system hasn't worked out, nor does the public yet understand, the best ways to separate patients with the virus from the rest of the patient population and i would be walking in sort of blind. Interesting, after i cancelled, i received a new update from UNC hospitals and they were just beginning a triage program with protocols.

I'm just not comfortable being around health-care settings now. I stopped going to local physical therapy as it's located in a hospital campus as well. Have another mature friend who also stopped his daily visits.

I know you two share the same concerns. I did stock up on medicines this week and should be okay on that front for a while.

Hey, i've a new grand-dog, a black and tan mutt. But she's causing trouble at my son's in-laws, attacking Bruno, their dog, and growling at people and other critters on leash. So, it's a day-today situation now to see if she will adapt.

No name as of yesterday.

Thanks for the video and you always bring cheer to me by being here.

Have a wonderful evening and week.

it gave my spirits a big lift. (not to mention, more than a few chuckles! Biggrin )

Apologize took so long to reply. I twisted my ankle going down steps, and, have been a bit discombobulated, not to mention pretty uncomfortable. Treated injury, ourselves, with an ace bandage. Seems to be doing the job. Have crutches and a walker--and, a boot--from previous ankle fractures, if it gets worse. Too concerned about contagions, to risk a Dr's visit. I know what a fracture feels and sounds like--have had a straight-line, and a spiral ankle fracture, so, feel certain just pulled/strained ligament.

Hey, take good care of yourself. Glad you got the appropriate face mask. Hope you can avoid all but most pressing medical appointments. Gotta weigh the risks. We're in the same boat.

Saw a FDA bulletin warning about a flea prevention med for dogs (just bought Kaity several doses. Pet Meds will allow me to return it, so, that's good.) Will post here today, or maybe later in the week. Involves at least '4' major brands of this product--popular one, IOW.

BTW, best of luck to your Son and Family with new Grand Dog--hopefully, she'll settle down, soon, and, work out. Sometimes they come to us, pretty traumatized. Of course, can't allow her to injure other pets, or, obviously, people.

You may recall that 'Mr B' was extremely dog/animal aggressive (a total sweetheart with humans). Probably, partly due to his over-the-top anxiety which caused him to suffer from one of the worst cases of separation anxiety that our Vets had ever seen. During the last couple years (when we still had 'Biggun'--she passed in 2012) he had to be separated from her much of the time--unless, I could very closely supervise them. Of course, he was adopted by us at approximately age 18-24 months, so, no inkling of his history. Actually, that 'age' was just an educated guess. Vet said it was 'possible' that he was 3 or 4 years old when he came to us. (but, no older)

Arthritis in two fingers (right hand) finally catching up with me. Expect not to be able to blog much longer--unless, I'm willing to adopt pigeon English style. IOW, I'll have to be much less long-winded than I naturally tend to be. Smile

Take care, and be well, my Friend. Pleasantry
