Washington Post snark about Hillary is surprisingly accurate

Washington Post snark about Hillary is surprisingly accurate. As the writer of that article attempted to do, unsuccessfully, was to make fun of ALL criticism of Medusa by mocking them. Problem is that (leaving references to Satan out), most of the verbiage reflects the pro-Hillary diatribe in a typical Clinton tone-deaf manner.

As a recent Wikileaks HRC speech excerpt has Medusa saying that she is really out of touch with the middle-class. Really? Could've fooled me /s. You know, it's pretty hard to be in touch with the hoi and the polloi when you're surrounded by a platinum bubble, fly only in private jets, stay only at 5 star hotels Presidential suites, insist that one elevator at Trump Tower be strictly reserved for her when she visits Spielberg's apartment.

But to her credit, she does speak with Shakespearian eloquence for those able to pay nearly a quarter million $ for the privilege.

On the serious side of this failed snark there is a link about why America hates Clinton. The point of this link was to illustrate internal contradictions in allegations about HRC's sexuality. My only comment is that a woman, like a man, can be AC / DC--and I'm not talking about hard rock. Further discussion on this subject is already taking much "broadcast news" time. By the way, if you thought Debate number 2 was explosive--get ready for Debate 3. It will be thermonuclear as opposed to merely incendiary as was Debate 2.

Although MSM propaganda is that Trump's campaign is pretty much swirling the drain, those arguments are about as believable as "the Russians did it". Until the election day itself, we have only conjectured Russian demonizing by the Corruptodems in addition to the standard "I'm not Trump" reason-in-chief offered voters to "be with Her". In fact a post-debate 2 poll with 170 times as many polled as any recent on MSM media "polls" finds that Der Drumpf is ahead of Medusa.

Of course the source for this is the highly independent Faux Spews /s.

who have always supported Trump, they don't believe a word of MSM any more than we do. SO many of us, on both sides of the aisle, think they're completely full of shit and we don't let them sway us anymore.

Through that prism, look at their collective coverage the last few weeks--they are so very desperate to convince us that They Know How The Race Will Shake Out. And just so you don't think about that too much, RUSSIA!! BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA!

It's almost becoming laughable now. It's clear they don't know shit, other than in Real Life, a lot of folk refuse to vote for either one of these dangerous phonies. And that spells trouble for them, because with two wild cards in the vote counts, there is no way to believably fix the vote results without risking being caught.

MSM can repeat themselves until the cows come home--a whole lot of America understands now that they are LIARS. Straight up. They don't believe the polling and they don't believe the hype. And that spells trouble, in particular, for Team Hillary, though it's to the point now where if it's doing anything at all for Trump, it's only helping him. My two cents...

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's claim that the mainstream media can't be trusted is bolstered by at least four polls showing that as few as 6 percent have full confidence in what the press is writing and showing on TV.

Pew, Gallup, Facebook, Rasmussen, and the American Press Institute have all recorded new lows in media trust, dismal results that bolster Trump's charges that TV and the press are throwing "outright lies" at him, most recently charges if groping women.

"Let's be clear on one thing, the corporate media in our country is no longer involved in journalism – they are a political special interest no different from a lobbyist," Trump said Thursday in West Palm Beach, Fla. "Their agenda is to elect crooked Hillary Clinton at any cost, at any price, no matter how many lives they destroy."

Stay abreast of the latest developments from nation's capital and beyond with curated News Alerts from the Washington Examiner news desk and delivered to your inbox.

The polls have not had a chance to survey reaction to Trump's latest charges. But overall it is clear that an overwhelming percentage of Americans don't believe much of what the media is reporting.

One example is that #RIPJournalism is trending on Twitter.

— Gallup's latest survey on the issue found that just 32 percent have "a great deal" or "a fair amount" of trust in the media. That is an all-time low for the national survey company.

— Pew Research Center found that only 18 percent have "a lot" of faith in what the media reports. And 87 percent of conservatives believe the media skews stories.

— The American Press Institute found that 6 percent have "a great deal of confidence" in the media.

— Just 12 percent who use Facebook, the fastest growing news source, said they trust what they are reading.

— Rasmussen said that voters distrust media fact-checkers. "Just 29 percent of all Likely U.S. Voters trust media fact-checking of candidates' comments. Sixty-two percent believe instead that news organizations skew the facts to help candidates they support," said the firm.

According to Gallup, "While it is clear Americans' trust in the media has been eroding over time, the election campaign may be the reason that it has fallen so sharply this year. With many Republican leaders and conservative pundits saying Hillary Clinton has received overly positive media attention, while Donald Trump has been receiving unfair or negative attention, this may be the prime reason their relatively low trust in the media has evaporated even more. It is also possible that Republicans think less of the media as a result of Trump's sharp criticisms of the press. Republicans who say they have trust in the media has plummeted to 14 percent from 32 percent a year ago. This is easily the lowest confidence among Republicans in 20 years."

emails: It was discovered that Citigroup picked much of the Obama cabinet and senior advisors. One month before Obama took office, Froman, an exec at Citigroup(now Obama's trade representative) passed along the bank's recommendations on the makeup of the Obama administration. Included were: Gates; Holder; Napolitano; Emanuel; Rice; Duncan; Geithner; Sebelius; Orszag; Shinseki and Barnes.

The article from WSWS also pointed out that Citigroup was the largest single beneficiary of TARP funds, receiving $45 Billion in cash(in the form of stock purchases) and a $306 Billion guarantee back up Citi's worthless mortgage related "assets."

Does anyone know if this is right? I haven't found it elsewhere. I suppose the for-profit press hasn't bothered with this documentation from WikiLeaks much less WSWS's interpretation.

"One has to wonder how a supposed Dem president would accept many of these "nominees" for his cabinet?"

Back in late 2007, 13 of the 16 then-candidates were invited to address Wall St executives for 30 minutes to make their case as to why they should have the presidency. As I recall, the event was hosted by Morgan Stanley. The one who made the best case to the executives won Wall St financial backing for their campaign. Part of the deal had to have been accepting their list of cabinet officers.

What is telling about this selling out of the presidency were the ones excluded from making presentations: Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Mike Gravel. Clearly, as none of these candidates were seen as being friendly to Big Money, there was no point in wasting the valuable time of Wall St executives to present their proposals.

The only thing I had was a print piece covering this event in a financial publication in a doctor's office. I've been looking for years for an online verification of this without success. If anyone has any information on this event, please add it to the comments.

Even The New York Times dipped its dainty toe into the waters at one point - not that they found the temperature to their liking to actually dive in. I'm sure that financial pressures were applied to ensure that the story didn't grow legs, so the NYT dropped it. No other major media source would pick it up after that.

But that doesn't mean the story was ignored. A quick search revealed the following articles. I include dates to show that this coverage was going on all through Obama's administration.

Obama's Wall Street cabinet
By Tom Eley and Barry Grey
6 April 2009

Policies that are extraordinarily favorable to the financial elite that were put in place over the past month by the Obama administration have fed a surge in share values on Wall Street. These include the scheme to use hundreds of billions of dollars in public funds to pay hedge funds to buy up the banks’ toxic assets at inflated prices, the Auto Task Force’s rejection of the recovery plans of Chrysler and General Motors and its demand for even more brutal layoffs, wage cuts and attacks on workers’ health benefits and pensions, and the decision by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) to weaken “mark-to-market” accounting rules and permit banks to inflate the value of their toxic assets.

At the same time, Obama has campaigned against restrictions on bonuses paid to executives at insurance giant American International Group (AIG) and other bailed-out firms, and repeatedly assured Wall Street that he will slash social spending, including Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

The new financial disclosures reveal that top Obama advisors directly involved in setting these policies have received millions from Wall Street firms, including those that have received huge taxpayer bailouts.

Obama White House ‘Full of Wall Street Executives’?

Certainly, the American Future Fund has a point about the massive amounts of money the Obama campaign raised in 2008 from Wall Street executives.....The ad correctly states that Obama’s 2008 campaign received $42 million — “more than any other candidate in history” — from “Wall Street bankers and financial insiders.” The ad cites an analysis of campaign finance data by the Center for Responsive Politics, which reported that Obama’s campaign raised $42.2 million from the “finance, insurance and real estate” sector.

President Obama’s Wall Street Problem
By Pam Martens: April 24, 2014

If one tallies up the members of President Obama’s cabinet who played a role in crashing a bank before coming to help him govern the country or worked for a major law firm serving Wall Street before being hand-picked by the President to head up the bodies charged with investigating Wall Street, the Executive Branch begins to feel a lot like Wall Street West. That might explain why so many fellow Americans feel like Wall Street is running (and ruining and rigging) the country.

"The Most Important WikiLeak" - How Wall Street Built The Obama Cabinet
by Tyler Durden Oct 14, 2016 12:45 PM

So if this history is any guide then the real power within a future Clinton administration is being formed right now. In fact, another email from January 2015 reveals that Elizabeth Warren was already "intently focused on personnel issues" almost two full years ago as evidenced by the following recap of a conversation that the Hillary campaign had with her Chief of Staff, Dan Geldon....To the extent there are any purists left, this should clear up any illusion of who controls the political powers that be.

https://newrepublic.com/article/137798/important-wikileaks-revelation-is... Most Important WikiLeaks Revelation Isn’t About Hillary Clinton
What John Podesta’s emails from 2008 reveal about the way power works in the Democratic Party.
By David Dayen October 14, 2016

The cabinet list [email from from Citibank's Froman to Podesta] ended up being almost entirely on the money. It correctly identified Eric Holder for the Justice Department, Janet Napolitano for Homeland Security, Robert Gates for Defense, Rahm Emanuel for chief of staff, Peter Orszag for the Office of Management and Budget, Arne Duncan for Education, Eric Shinseki for Veterans Affairs, Kathleen Sebelius for Health and Human Services, Melody Barnes for the Domestic Policy Council, and more. For the Treasury, three possibilities were on the list: Robert Rubin, Larry Summers, and Timothy Geithner.

This was October 6. The election was November 4. And yet Froman, an executive at Citigroup, which would ultimately become the recipient of the largest bailout from the federal government during the financial crisis, had mapped out virtually the entire Obama cabinet, a month before votes were counted. And according to the Froman/Podesta emails, lists were floating around even before that.

Many already suspected that Froman, a longtime Obama consigliere, did the key economic policy hiring while part of the transition team. We didn’t know he had so much influence that he could lock in key staff that early, without fanfare, while everyone was busy trying to get Obama elected. The WikiLeaks emails show even earlier planning; by September the transition was getting pre-clearance to assist nominees with financial disclosure forms.

Citigroup chose Obama's 2008 cabinet
By Tom Eley, World Socialist Web Site
Saturday, Oct 15, 2016

Then-presidential candidate Obama played a critical political role in shepherding the massively unpopular bank bailout through Congress. [The presidency was thus his reward for services rendered - neoconned] The September financial crash convinced decisive sections of the US corporate-financial elite that the Democratic candidate of “hope” and “change” would be better positioned to contain popular opposition to the bailout than his Republican rival, Senator John McCain of Arizona.

As president, Obama not only funneled trillions of dollars to the banks, he saw to it that not a single leading Wall Street executive faced prosecution for the orgy of speculation and swindling that led to the financial collapse and Great Recession, and he personally intervened to block legislation capping executive pay at bailed-out firms.

The bottom line from a Wall St insider:

Revolving door spins for Schapiro and Breuer
Former SEC and DOJ officials cash in
By Ryan Chittum April 3, 2013

Former Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. chairwoman Sheila Bair said this about the influence large banks have over lawmakers:

“The capture, a lot of people say, is bipartisan. And when I say capture, I’m talking about cognitive capture. It’s not so much about corruption. It’s just listening too much to large financial institutions and the people who represent them and not enough to the people out on Main Street who want this fixed.”

Corporatism has conquered the United States of America. It is only going to get worse since one-half of the corporatist party controlled by the energy sector is collapsing under the candidacy of Donald Trump and won't be expected to successfully counter the major Clinton putsch for Wall St to lock in their dominance over energy. THIS is what this year's election and candidate choices was really about.

There will be no better time to get third parties off the sidelines and into the main event, for we all know that otherwise Hillary will stack the deck for the next election so that she isn't defeated for re-election. And if she were to succeed, what little voice we have will be silenced.

First off this is an excellent comment and I appreciate all the links you provided about how Froman and Citigroup decided for Obama who was going to be in his cabinet before he took office.
The reason why Holder was selected as head of the DOJ was because he came from a law firm that defended the banks and other financial institutions. So who better to make sure that no one was charged for the fraudulent activities that the banks did.
This word in this paragraph has a the right definition.

consigliere

Consigliere definition, a member of a criminal organization or syndicate who serves as an adviser to the leader.
That's pretty much sums up the CEOs of the banks that got away with crashing the global economy because Obama's head of the DOJ Holder made sure that no one was charged.
And almost everyone of these people are going to be in Hillary's cabinet too.
Oh well, at least she isn't promising anything like Hope and Change.
It wouldn't matter if she did because Obama betrayed those words as he did millions of people who believed that he was actually going to keep his word.

Agree, most people no longer read or listen to MSM. If we/they do, no body trusts it.

Think Trump has a stronger, and deeper base. Her Heinous is now relying on surrogates - and we've seen the crowds Billy draws. Pathetic. She's gone into hiding, literally. Her health has got to be a bigger problem now, and stunning how that subject is being totally avoided.

Also, the days in hiding give her team a chance to use botox, or what ever they do to make her look as different as she does for the debates. Seriously - compare a picture of her doing a regular stump speech, and one of her during debate - so obvious! Don't expect we'll ever find out, but there has to be a reason, except for debates, she wears ridiculously LONG coats over those pants. That is not a "pants suit" it is a disguise for some reason.

A Trump win busts up what's left of the Republican Party, and maybe, just maybe, takes the Democratic party out of the clutches of the Clintons. Only hope I can see in this election. PLUS, the Green Party getting more than 5%. Finally!

I think it was a mistake of Clinton supporters to call Trump antisemitic because many of his fervent supporters are openly antisemitic and this is reinforcing for them.
