That Was Fast
So this morning I put in a job application. Not even 5 minutes after submitting the application, I got a rejection email:

Guess I'm gonna have to go into business for myself. No one will hire me no matter what 'keywords' I use.
Careful consideration my ass.
See ya around,

The sheer speed of it
makes me think this wasn't a real job opening but more likely an H1B visa job.

Exactly. The scam is documented in this video
This video of a law firm explaining the Playbook for gaming the H1-B program to execs is eye opening.

You should show the relevant emails to the people who
insist you keep looking for work. "Careful consideration" in the space of five minutes is a lie.

Microsoft is Hiring, According to an Article in "Fast Company"
Here is the author's understanding of ASD: "...autism spectrum disorder, a catch-all name that includes a range of symptoms from muteness to the milder social awkwardness of Asperger Syndrome..." And the article starts with the 'warning:' "Long Read."
Might be of interest, or not.

Meh. No tech business will touch someone who can't drive.

The story features a young person and the hopes and fears trying to get hired. After getting hired, the person's car hit a pole. The loss of a working car meant walking for a while, that's all.
The story is not that long of a story. And the story said the young person was rather surprised at the amount of the first paycheck.

Sounds more like corporate propaganda to me.

Microsoft is in Redmond WA. The story is written by (I presume) an unaffiliated writer. And reading the story is free.
I've been 'burned' by a lot of job 'offers' but not all of them were terrible.
