War Pigs and the Need to Stop Them

"We should have no illusions. Today’s United States of America is interested only in one thing - destroying Russia as a civilizational, geopolitical, military and political rival — as well as an economic rival, with its treasure trove of resources."
Leonid Reshetnikov, retired lieutenant general of Russia’s foreign intelligence service

People talk about a dying Empire losing it's power but those controlling this country's government are hellbent on proving that wrong. The goal of the imperialists since the engineered fall of the Soviet Union has always been to remain the world's sole superpower, in effect to secure and maintain hegemony over the entire planet. The Pentagon implemented an offensive strategy of "Full Spectrum Dominance" to achieve military superiority over the land, water, air, space, and cyberspace of the entire planet. The term "New World Order" was used by George H.W. Bush to describe this phase of United States imperialism, the New American Century.

They're going after Russia hard now, particularly through Syria and what will soon be, Iran, but also by trying to break any alliances emerging that could threaten their New World Order. What's happening in Brazil is largely about the Obama administration trying to break the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) alliance of advanced economies that threaten it's global hegemony. .

"Washington’s regime change machinery has for the time being succeeded in removing an important link in the alliance of large emerging nations by railroading through a Senate impeachment of the duly elected President, Dilma Rousseff. On August 31 her Vice President Michel Temer was sworn in as President. In his first speech as president, the cynical Temer called for a government of “national salvation,” asking for the trust of the Brazilian people. He indicated plans to reform, and has also signaled his intention to overhaul the pension system and labor laws, and cut public spending, all themes beloved of Wall Street banks, of the International Monetary Fund and their Washington Consensus. Now after less than three weeks at the job, Temer has unveiled plans for wholesale privatization of Brazil’s crown jewels, starting with oil. The planned Wall Street rape of Brazil is about to begin."

The mainstream media and our government has called the war in Syria a "Civil War" since it started during the so called "Arab Spring". It's never been a civil war, it's always been an aggressive attack of a sovereign country by the U.S. and allies Saudi Arabia, Israel, Turkey, Britain, and France, using their proxy army of terrorists, jihadists and mercenaries including Al Qaeda, ISIS, Al Nusra, and whatever offshoots the CIA thinks up on any given day. The Syrian government tells it like it is at a recent U.N. meeting.

"In this regard, the Syrian government condemns in the strongest possible terms the attack launched by American warplanes on a Syrian Army site in the vicinity of the Deir Ezzor Airport on 17 September, which allowed ISIL to gain control of the site. The Syrian government holds the United States fully responsible for this aggression, because facts show that it was an intentional attack, and not an error, even if the United States claims otherwise. This cowardly aggression clearly proves that the US and its allies are complicit with ISIL and other terrorist armed organizations."

The UK Parliament has issued a new report from the bipartisan House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee and found that the Libyan war was based on lies. This confirms what some in the alternative media have been reporting since the Arab Spring and what many knew from the start. The war was based on bogus intelligence presented to the United Nations to get authorization for a "No Fly Zone" that ended up being seven straight months of bombing the hell out of Libya and the Libyan people. The Libya war, as with the Syria war, are based on the same type of lies George W. Bush and company used to attack Iraq to implement regime change and balkanize/destroy that country. Obama and his Secretary of State appendages Kerry and Clinton are war criminals of the highest order, equals among Bush and his neocon clan.

The UK Parliament report finds that the threat to civilians from Libyan government forces was dramatically overstated:

"An Amnesty International investigation in June 2011 could not corroborate allegations of mass human rights violations by Gaddafi regime troops. However, it uncovered evidence that rebels in Benghazi made false claims and manufactured evidence. The investigation concluded that much Western media coverage has from the outset presented a very one-sided view of the logic of events, portraying the protest movement as entirely peaceful and repeatedly suggesting that the regime’s security forces were unaccountably massacring unarmed demonstrators who presented no security challenge.

In short, the scale of the threat to civilians was presented with unjustified certainty. US intelligence officials reportedly described the intervention as “an intelligence-light decision”.

Just like the ginned up intelligence used to justify the Iraq war. And the “humanitarian wars” waged over the last couple of decades."

The report also confirmed that the U.S. and allies used Al Qaeda as a proxy army for the regime change/country balkanization operation.

"The U.S. supported opposition which overthrew Libya’s Gadaffi was largely comprised of Al Qaeda terrorists. According to a 2007 report by West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center’s center, the Libyan city of Benghazi was one of Al Qaeda’s main headquarters – and bases for sending Al Qaeda fighters into Iraq – prior to the overthrow of Gaddafi:

A self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn’t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier.

‘The intelligence community was part of that, the Department of State was part of that, and certainly that means that the top leadership of the United States, our national security leadership, and potentially Congress – if they were briefed on this – also knew about this."

http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2016/09/libya-2.html

Obama, the war criminal, is the one responsible. Clinton was his sidekick and pushed to get it done but there should be no mistake the Libya war was/is Obama's war, the Commander in Chief. For this alone Obama should be behind bars for life. Combine that with the Syria and Yemen wars and he should be executed on short order. I'm normally against the death penalty, but not for these serial killers we call our "leaders".

"The White House and senior Congressional members,’ the group wrote in an interim report released Tuesday, ‘deliberately and knowingly pursued a policy that provided material support to terrorist organizations in order to topple a ruler [Muammar Gaddafi] who had been working closely with the West actively to suppress al-Qaeda.’

‘Some look at it as treason,’ said Wayne Simmons, a former CIA officer who participated in the commission’s research."

It would be prudent to stop these maniacs at this point.

Russia and the Assad government are currently in the process of slapping us down over there. After we screwed over both of them in the last couple of "cease fires", they've evidently decided to show us they can win the war outright and are going full out to take Aleppo and using a lot of Russian air power and very savvy Russian tactics.

Also, the Russians have managed to pull Turkey towards them and away (to some extent) from the West in the process.

Not that I think any of that is great. There are 250,000 trapped civilians in Aleppo who are being systematically shrapnel bombed and killed in the process, which is horrifying. But, damn--I've seen photos of our special forces ground troops in Syria helping out the "moderate jihadis" (who are pretty much ISIS), and now through our political ambitions and incompetence, we're gonna get our asses handed to us by Putin and Assad.

Watch what goes down in coming days and weeks . . .

When are the American people going to wake the hell up and realize that their country is the biggest terrorist organization and has been for over a century?
How can people believe that our military is fighting for our freedoms and to defend this country?
Haven't many people heard of Smedley Butler or read his book when he said that he had spent over 33 years just being muscle for hire?
Here's an article that includes information about how Obama, Hillary, Kerry and the CIA along with so many high ranking military personnel funneled weapons to Al Quada in Syria.

U.S. Delivers 3,000 Tons Of Weapons And Ammo To Al-Qaeda & Co in Syria
The United States via its Central Intelligence Agency is still delivering thousands of tons of additional weapons to al-Qaeda and others in Syria.

http://www.moonofalabama.org/2016/04/us-delivers-3000-tons-of-weapons-an...
The report was done by the British.
Hillary's part in the Syrian war and her lies about why the war started. She also repeats why the war was started.

“The crisis began in early 2011, when Syrian citizens, inspired in part by the successful peaceful protests in Tunisia and Egypt, took to the streets to demonstrate against the authoritarian regime of Bashar al Assad. As in Libya, security forces responded with excessive force and mass detentions which in turn led some Syrians to take up arms to defend themselves and, eventually, to try to topple Assad.” (p 447)

http://www.counterpunch.org/2015/09/30/the-wicked-war-on-syria-hillary-c...
And this article details how McCain helped form the terrorists to help overthrow Assad. What McCain did was illegal and should be considered treason, but then most members of congress know that these wars are illegal and go against the Nuremberg laws that state that it is the Ultimate War Crime to invade a country that hasn't threatened another.

If it was the UK parliament that wrote the report which states that the Libyan and Syrian wars were based on lies and that Britain is taking part in it, then who in Britain authorized their military to take part in it?
I know that Obama has said that the original AUMF granted to Bush gives him the authority to attack any country he thinks is harboring terrorists, but what about Britain's military?
Barbara Lee and others in congress is asking that Obama come before congress to get a new AUMF because she doesn't think that the original one covers what Obama is doing in the countries he's using drones in or the Libyan and Syrian wars.
I have no doubt that congress will authorize a new one because many of them don't think he has been aggressive enough and wants him to put more ground troops in Syria.
And gjohnsit wrote an essay last week about how it looks like some of the members of the military and the pentagon deliberately broke the ceasefire that killed many Syrian troops which allowed ISIL to retake the city in order to buy time for Hillary to become president because they know that she will give them the no fly zone and put troops in Syria.

I really don't understand this and I think that many Russians don't understand this either. I am worried that more militarily assertive factions will influence President Putin. He is, despite the hatchet job from the MSM, a very moderate leader. Russia maintains parity in the ultimate confrontation, nuclear. Russia can play a much more aggressive game of brinkmanship, similar to what JFK did in the Cuban missile crisis. Ultimately JFK got the missiles removed but he had to remove missiles from Turkey and Greece, I think, and agree to never invade Cuba. Nuclear brinkmanship resulted in both sides considering the interest of the other side, something that the US today refuses to do.

and with far more reason. Between Chelyabinsk/Kyshtym and Chernobyl, they have had live, real-time demonstrations on their own soil of just how nasty atomic radiation can get. These accidents were much too big to conceal - unlike the "collateral damage" in the US from US-based bomb tests, which could be and was pooh-poohed and swept under the rug.

Putin knows too well what would happen if somebody pushed the button - and he is a sane and reasonable, if bombastic, man.

I keep wondering where the public will draw a line. This country tortures, commits murder, kidnaps and imprisons people without even presence of trial. We are spied on. The police in many places are armed thugs murdering citizens in cold blood by the hundreds. And still, people seem not to care mostly. Is there any line drawn in peoples' consciences??

pay any attention at all to our foreign policy. And those few who pay at least some attention, are for the most part being deliberately misinformed by the msm. Russia is falsely and ubiquitously portrayed as a dangerous enemy, while America's role in sponsoring takfiri terrorist organizations is either ignored or concealed. Our foreign policy regarding MENA has been utterly duplicitous. Unfortunately the public at large remains incurious and blissfully ignorant of its actual intentions and strategies.

Was idly watching a couple of games, sick on the couch. And on comes one of the familiar announcers as the 60 Minutes logo comes up with the big bold letters ISIS. But check this out: it was a double-whammy. Not only was it the big phony existential fear about the War with ISIS, but it segued straight into announcing a doubleheader of Fear, with a report on the "frightening new developments about Russian nuclear weapons" or something to that effect.

Have you seen this latest "Family" marketing BS by the multi billion $ and "non-profit" NFL corporation? What's so pathetic is hearing these old jarhead warriors of the gridiron clumsily attempt profound statements. Heard Bill Cowher on a pre-game show talking about the controversy around Kaepernick, who in my view enters the great Civil Rights pantheon of sports stars for his courageous stand. He gave the typical mumbo jubo about how he could understand what he was saying but said that he was proud that in Pittsburgh no one sat down to disrespect the flag. Then ended by saying the most vapid thing, clearly coached by the marketing team and having read the memo handed down from the militaristic faction who occupy a big place in that powerful organization, "football is family(TM)." I groaned loudly.

I know I share with you and Joe Shikspack an affinity for the NFL, which for me goes back four decades. Hard to get that fully out of your system. But I don't watch nearly as much anymore or with quite the same interest. I think like many others who have been watching all their lives have been reassessing our fealty and fandom.

Beating each other senseless, resulting in concussions that get buried from public view, is "family." Along with military imperialism, "family." These odious bastards.

Nice choice with that Paris 1970 version, which has different lyrics. When I got that as a bootleg VHS 25 years ago I watched it over and over mesmerized. Black Sabbath kept me questioning authority and restored my sanity as a Catholic School sensing lots of contradictions all around me.

Just a couple of many, as poignant as ever:

Is it to remind us we are permanently at war? Is it to remind us that all things sporting and competitive are really war, and that if we like sports we must also be soldiers? Is it to honor the troops, but not to honor the mercenaries? Is it to remind us who's in charge? What is the point of this very expensive, not to mention hazardous, demonstration of power?

Is it to remind us the military industrial cartel has more money than they know what to do with, or do they know exactly what they're doing?

It's so Soviet Russia or Communist China. I remember watching TV clips as a kid of the Chinese army and the Soviet army parading before their subjects. Reminds me of that and of course it's the same thing only different.

Also, the US military is drenching fungible American citizens attending sports events in even more highly toxic airplane emissions than usual, but you aren't supposed to know how damaging/deadly that is.

But there's the oil companies who have been instrumental regarding U.S. imperialism since oil was determined to be the future, the global corporations including the MIC which now includes intelligence, prison and security industrial complexes and billionaires and private clubs like the Council on Foreign Relations, Club of Rome, Bilderbergers, etc.

However you cut it, it's a relatively small group of supremely rich and powerful people rotating as the "ruling elite" that are the puppet masters.

The key is finding a way to take away their power and wealth. They've acquired it illegally and immorally through U.S. imperialism, slavery and native American genocide.

for this enormously assertive and timely essay. I think our military industrial complex fights against democracy, wherever it may arise, whether in Russia, or in Africa, or in Brazil. The problem with Syria and Iran is not that they are dictatorships, with which our military industrial complex loves to party, it's that they aren't dictatorial enough.

In the countries we are attacking, Syria, Iran, Libya, Iraq, and Yemen, women have been voting, and that means an ever so small amount of human progress has been made in education and healthcare. Or should I say, had been made, before the onslaught.

It's not just that women were voting, but that they were an addition to the progressive voting block started by men. The Arab Spring created potential for peaceful change and heightened the possibility of progress. Therefore the fascist element in our government has joined the Saudi government in crushing it.

Russia is similarly not corrupt enough. That is to say, Russia, where Exxon and Haliburton expound on their websites about how their companies are succeeding and producing profits, and where they praise the Russian workforce for accomplishing so much in difficult geographic circumstances, is still not fascist enough to get with the Saudi program. Therefore, Putin must be opposed and demonized. His real crime, in their eyes, is in having peaceful trade with Europe and Asia and in opposing terrorist forces in Russia.

Apart from all else, what on the world will survive multiple countries being nuked, even if the corporate candidate President cheats and nobbles the defensive/retaliatory computer systems of the people of the countries they plan to commit nuclear war crimes in? Nuclear winter and radiation know no boundaries.

The United States never existed.

It is a consortium of business interests. "United States" is a label for the letterhead used to take money stolen through taxes to pay the rich.

This idea is enforced through the religion of self-supremacy.

However, it is not much different elsewhere. Perspectives may be different, but ultimately every person wants to be left to do what he or she wants.

Putin is a dictator and the United States is an oligarchy, with its ridiculous and pointless customs, like the United Kingdom and its shadow puppet monarchy.

Humans have not figured out how to get around the fear reflex. They never will. No matter how high up the quantum pole we rise, we are still tailless monkeys. It is embedded in the laws of nature, the same laws opening a rose in spring and unleashing enormous gamma ray bursts into the vacuum of space. We are God's chosen creatures in the middle of it all. No we are not - just checking to see whether you are awake. There is no god, there is no middle. Just computerized monkeys.

Peace and love be with you, reader.

Stephen Hawking things we will not survive unless we go into space.
I think Hawking's statement, and his argument, are religion, a narrative for some to believe in, and for some others to get attention, like Carl Sagan. Theirs is a theology of technology applied to space, I guess it is the religion of NASA. I do not do this space-religion. Yes, I think astronomy and cosmology, all of that is interesting, nice, etc. It is exciting sometimes. But settling on Mars is not going to change anything. The problem is we are not stuck on this planet. We are stuck in this universe, with its particular values of certain constants, etc. Again, going up the quantum pole changes nothing.

As I was walkin' - I saw a sign there
And that sign said - no tresspassin'
But on the other side .... it didn't say nothin!
Now that side was made for you and me!

In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple
Near the relief office - I see my people
And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin'
If this land's still made for you and me
