An Update on My Cat

A little while ago I wrote about the tough decision to re-home my cat, Mr. Mittens. After spending a few days on my partner's grandmother's porch and being told he's too old to adopt (He will be 10 in March), my mother in law decided to take him (it was her partner's idea) and it seems to be going pretty well considering he's now living with another cat and a small dog, a Chorkie, they call them. He's been wearing a Feliway collar while acclimating.
I'm just glad the family didn't have to lose him.
Here he is on his new porch.
See ya around,
Aspie

Glad for your cat ....
One of the most poorly explained and important shows on TV is the cat whisperer guy. He does for problem cats what the dog whisperer does for problem dogs. I would "think" about getting a cat but....I don't trust them to be loyal to their litter box. No matter how clean or how many, emotional problems and resentment manifest there first. Anyway, congrats on rehoming your cat.

Good to hear
Kudos to your m-i-l and partner for adopting him! I'm glad that Mr. Mittens seems to be settling in well in a new environment and that he's still with your family, where you still have contact with him. Judging from the picture -- and the fact that he's getting along decently with other animals this early on -- I'd say it's going to be a successful rehoming.
