Remember when President Trump tried to pull U.S. troops out of our illegal war in Syria and everyone, from the Pentagon to television pundits, had a total freak-out?
Well, Trump still plans to pull out those troops, but this time the MIC isn't freaking out. There's a reason for that.

Britain has agreed to deploy additional special forces in Syria alongside France to allow the US to withdraw its ground troops from the ongoing fight against the remaining Isis forces in the country....
The decision was first reported in the journal Foreign Policy, which described the development as “a major victory … for Donald Trump’s national security team” because few other countries had been willing to help out.

So we're pulling out of Syria (good thing), but the imperialist war will continue (bad thing).
Trump asked Germany to participate in this sham, but Merkel turned him down flat out.
It gets worse.

So what’s the catch? Simply put, the price tag. Britain and France won’t provide enough troops to completely cover the US withdrawal. To that end, additional troops will likely be drawn from Italy, as well as a number from Balkan and Baltic states. The US, however, will have to pay for these reinforcements, Foreign Policy’s source said.

This isn't so much of a peace plan, as it is a plan for someone else to shoulder the burden of the fighting. You can see this playing out in Yemen too.

The US says it wants to create an multinational military coalition to safeguard waters around Iran and Yemen.

The U.A.E., the Saudi's primary ally in their genocidal war, is scaling back operations there...but not because of any quest for peace.

The United Arab Emirates has withdrawn some troops from Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah and its military presence in the rest of the war-ravaged country will “ebb and flow” depending on the situation, a senior Emirati official said...
The redeployment, first reported by Reuters last week, comes amid rising tensions between the U.S. and Iran since the Trump administration tightened sanctions on Iranian oil exports in early May. It has also raised questions about how closely the U.A.E’s policy is aligned with Saudi Arabia, its closest ally and the leader of a coalition fighting Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

They are only pulling out troops from Yemen in order to redeploy them against Iran, and because they don't have the same objectives in Yemen as the Saudis.
Finally, there is Afghanistan, where Trump is quietly pushing forward on an effort that will pull out all foreign troops from the devastated nation.
Unlike the agreement with Syria, this appears to be the real deal. But it hasn't been finalized yet.
