Still not voting for Clinton

I don't care what Bernie says about Trump.

Not one word did Bernie say of the election fraud that took place. I'm really disappointed Sanders didn't call a spade a spade and force the fraudulent activities to the forefront of discussion. Bernie WON this election. He should have fought for it.

By committing election fraud, Clinton committed treason. They destroyed our democracy, the root of our freedom and the cornerstone of our nation. She and her DNC conspirators should be lined up and shot, they CANNOT be allowed to win the election.

Not voting for Clinton. Not voting for Trump. I'll be voting Stein this year. Sorry Bernie, but you started this revolution. I guess we'll finish it.

BernDay is the week before the Philly convention. Bern your Dem Party registration and register Independent. Let the Dems know we are on to their fraud. Evil is evil and Clinton is no lesser than Trump. She committed treason and stole our democracy.

We will not vote for traitors.

Samuel J. Tilden set the precedent, letting the hand-picked committee (5 House, 5 Senate,5 Supreme Court) decide the 1876 election along purely partisan lines. Instead he wasted upwards of a month compiling a history of previous elections.

Gore rolled over and played dead, so did Kerry.

It's just Not Done to put up any resistance. It's Not Nice.

Well, we know what Malvina Reynolds had to say about that....

It Isn't Nice -- YouTube link

http://people.wku.edu/charles.smith/MALVINA/mr073.htm
Notes: words and music by Malvina Reynolds; copyright 1964 Schroder Music Company, renewed 1993. This original version of the song was banned from the radio in Japan--in Japanese, but not in English!

It isn't nice to block the doorway,
It isn't nice to go to jail,
There are nicer ways to do it,
But the nice ways always fail.
It isn't nice, it isn't nice,
You told us once, you told us twice,
But if that is Freedom's price,
We don't mind.

It isn't nice to carry banners
Or to sit in on the floor,
Or to shout our cry of Freedom
At the hotel and the store.
It isn't nice, it isn't nice,
You told us once, you told us twice,
But if that is Freedom's price,
We don't mind.

We have tried negotiations
And the three-man picket line,1
Mr. Charlie2 didn't see us
And he might as well be blind.
Now our new ways aren't nice
When we deal with men of ice,
But if that is Freedom's price,
We don't mind.

How about those years of lynchings
And the shot in Evers' back?
Did you say it wasn't proper,
Did you stand upon the track?
You were quiet just like mice,
Now you say we aren't nice,
And if that is Freedom's price,
We don't mind.

It isn't nice to block the doorway,
It isn't nice to go to jail,
There are nicer ways to do it
But the nice ways always fail.
It isn't nice, it isn't nice,
But thanks for your advice,
Cause if that is Freedom's price,
We don't mind.

Additional notes
1. This refers to an injunction limiting pickets to three. Nancy says she now sings "token picket line," as being less obscure and more gender-inclusive.
2. The Random House Historical Dictionary of American Slang defines "Charlie" as "white men regarded as oppressors of blacks.--used contemptuously. Also Mr. Charlie, Boss Charlie."
3. Barbara Dane in part rewrote the song, adding a chorus; others have also changed or added to the lyrics in various ways over the years. It was Barbara Dane's alteration that Judy Collins recorded.

There is a line that Bernie won't cross. I don't know the reasons. I wish he would. I think it is not an accident that his announcement comes the morning after the Brexit vote. I am guessing that the oligarchs awakened a little less secure in their gilded beds this morning and decided that the revolutionary passions needed a wet towel thrown on them. Bernie didn't extinguish the flames but this was a big deal. He is accepting so much of the corruption of the primaries, the parties, Hillary and the Clinton Foundation with his agreement to vote for her. And in declaring for her and expecting that we know we must do whatever it takes (wink, wink) to ensure Trump does not become president, Bernie is accepting Hillary as the lesser of two evils. And he is doing their fear mongering for them. I think that is what I feel anger about - that Bernie would join the scare tactic, must fall in line strategy that is the tried and true way to corral the sheeple into voting against their own interests. I believe Hillary is the greater of two evils in that Trump would be stopped in his tracks if he attempted to do the harm that Hillary will easily accomplish amidst support from both sides and the one corporate party (even if there is a show of dissent). The masses will be subdued by her being the democrat, a woman, it being the best she could negotiate or more fear mongering and divide and conquer manipulation.

Is committing election fraud a treasonable act? This I think is not the case, but I will defer to a legal expert. Something I need to assert: Legal definitions do not always follow a logic that might make sense in other disciplines. Source: My daughter is a lawyer and I am a physicist.

I do not pretend I know what I do not know.

In the most general terms, you can argue that subverting the democratic process is treason in the same way that in a true monarchy in post-battle-of-hastings europe, a violation of the king's person is understood to be an act of violence against the state, and -- again, in the most general terms -- an act of violence against the state is treason.

In terms of the American constitution and system of law, "treason" is defined very explicitly, and acts undermining the democratic process for one's own gain would not qualify. However, many people -- myself included -- would argue that such acts do qualify as "sedition", as do any acts that attempt to subvert the constitutional system of government, ref: Oliver North (whom I believe "should" have been executed for sedition -- the "should" implying not a moral judgement, but my own understanding of what he did, and the clear fact that what he did was seditious at a level that under current US law would in fact qualify for the death penalty. Arguably, he was also guilty of treason, though we don't really know how much he had to do with the Iran side of Iran-Contra.).

Constitution of the United States, Article III, Section 3:

Section 3.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

So Hillary Clinton is probably in the clear insofar as actually waging war directly against the United States. However, the real "proof of the pudding" relates to the other clause in that sentence, "or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort". Her knowing security leaks during the e-mail scandals probably did do just that.

I heardn him say he was voting for Clinton because Trump. He then said he's going to 'revitalize' the Democratic party using the movement he engendered. It rigging an election and fraud may not be treason but it sure as hell is illegal and so brazenly arrogantly corrupt it actually does set my hair on fire. why spend hours parsing what Bernie said to make it seem like he is going to challenge the cheating Mad Bomber. How can there be a political revolution without a valid election and how does he think getting 20,000 new Democratic candidates to run will do a damn thing to revitalize the Third Way Vichy Dem. party.

What does he have to lose by telling it like it is? Everybody but the brainwashed know whats going on despite the media. I have had it with pols who have something up their sleeve ie: Obomber. Integrity isn't that what he's about? So how come his integrity is not directed to we the people but to the Democratic party? Oh yeah we can't have Brexit cause they are bigots and we need to stop Farage. Is what's up his sleeve the same thing that was up Obama's sleeve? No thanks. The Democratic party is dead to me. They should be to anyone who supports Bernie's political revolution and agrees with his message. Who believes or cares about the lying corporate in the bag propaganda media. Not the millions people who support Bernie's political revolution. How insulting to those who despite the media got behind his candidacy to then weasel out because the media. WTF.

He's still got a job he wants to do in the senate, and that job would be significantly easier if there were less daggers aimed at his back. Saying he will vote for Clinton, and actually doing it, would stay a lot of those daggers. That could be one reason right there. Surely you don't think Sanders would be able to effectively continue to fight for progressive policies in the senate with the entirety of the Dem establishment looking for ways to undermine him.

Admittedly, that is just a speculative reason, and only Sanders will truly know the reasoning for casting a vote for Hillary, but it is his vote to do with as he pleases, and his alone. Questioning why he would is a pointless distraction from our own long term goals.
