Some idle speculation on Assange's timing on releasing the Email data...

So I was dusting the house and as is the norm when doing mindless tasks I was also engaging in idle speculation.

One of the things I was thinking about was all the questions I see repeatedly asking, "Why the hell won't Assange release the damn info already!".

And a possible answer hit me.

Could he be waiting for the last interviewee to have a chance to perjure themselves, Abedin in particular?

Are there any other interviews still to be conducted?

I know, it's all probably going to be moot in a few days but the damn suspense is killing me!

Plus, I really enjoy hearing others speculations as well, it can be great for sparking some thought I otherwise never would have had.

but that's pretty savvy, now that you mention it.

When does Abedin testify? Didn't somebody have a date on that, finally?

Never thought of that either!

Patrick Kennedy testifies tomorrow. You might have something there if he's waiting for these most important two to plead the fifth.

...this is part of why Pagliano isn't testifying. Those deposed could say something under oath here which may end up being inconsistent with what they say to the FBI.

The Clintons have a history of being brought down by civil suits. Without this set from JW, the public would have no idea about the antics at State and there would be no FBI investigation, so it's already been enormously impactful.

until the election season gets into full swing? Then it would be too late to do anything but boost Drumpfs campaign. Too late to help Bernie in any case. Of course that depends on what Assange is trying to accomplish, which we don't know. Maybe he has a different agenda that doesn't include sinking HRC's campaign. Too many ifs to speculate.

want to sink clinton's campaign then why even bring up the whole "I've got hillary's emails and I'm going to release them" thing. I dunno, but I know this. I'm tired of Assange, the FBI, grucifer 1 and grucifer 2. I'm especially sick and tired of the Obama administration covering for the criminal. And most of all, I'm sick of clinton and her rotten slimy husband. If there is something the public should be aware of then damn it get it out and let the public be the fucking judge and jury if they want clinton in the WH. Or conveniently distracting. What better time for anything more negative to emerge for Hillary than a long holiday weekend? By the time our sunburned skin is flaking off and we resettle in front of the large video screens in our homes, Donald will have done something extraordinary to push anything of substance to the recesses of msm websites.

Assange and the FBI have been brought to heel by the PTB. IF he has anything of importance, it should have, at the latest, been brought out before the CA primary.

Last week I thought, the Orlando shootings are dominating the news so he's waiting.

This week I thought, Brexit is dominating the news so he's waiting.

I hope your thought of the testimony is correct and we will soon have an email reveal. But it is my understanding Judicial Watch is planning (but not scheduled) a $hillary testimony.

So we keep waiting.

In other thoughts (I swept today rather than dusted), suppose they go so far as indict the $hill. I'm afraid the DNC would still nominate her over Bernie. What do you think?

party to even consider nominating Bernie, it would take events that if I listed them here, I would likely be flagged as someone intending to do harm to the country, which I am not. So, consider the worst issues in the summer blockbusters collectively (I think I can get away with saying Zombies and aliens from Mars without triggering any algorithms out there, but also add earth-shaking and man-made, war-like stuff), and if THAT happened, and Bernie was pretty much the last person alive, then they might posthumously let him have the nomination with a, "be president of THAT, Grandpa!" encouragement.

Short of that, he's correct, hundreds of thousands of people have to show up and make 'em do the right thing.

and forced to leave my cave. Wink

Personally, I think the Dems would rather lose with Clinton than win with Bernie, they don't care about the win, they care about their individual status and power, both of which they would lose if someone like Bernie became head of the party.

It's gonna take a brand new party to break the gridlock and oligarchy control in D.C.

Well, that, or blood.

Lots and lots of blood.

having it come out before CA wouldn't have mattered, since the fix on that election was huge and already in place. In some quarters, he's already won--Sanders has flipped both LA and San Francisco, according to several reports.

That being said, Assange MUST put it out before the convention or I may have to agree with you. I'm getting mighty weary of the slow walk, that's been a scam before now.

the Board of Elections refers to the numbers as certified would seem to indicate that this was the final count.

But then there is this from June 26 which would supersede the above "certified" statement:

For example, Sanders cannot win in San Francisco County anymore. With less than 1,500 ballots remaining to be counted in that county, Hillary’s lead over Bernie in the county is 16,765. Since election night, the gap in San Francisco County closed from 11.7 percent to 7.7 percent. Bernie also can’t win in San Bernadino County, because 16,317 ballots are left to be counted, but Clinton is ahead by 19,493 votes. Clinton is also still a sure victor in Riverside County where about 28,300 ballots are left to be counted, but Clinton is ahead by 29,513 votes.

Assange and Wikileaks are still getting their ducks in a row. They have said, that should any effort to stop the publishing of the emails occur by means of DDOS or other hacking technique or by some questionable legal means, that they would employ a dead man's switch making the entire unencrypted directory containing all the files available for anyone to download from multiple servers across the world.

Then again, perhaps it is as simple as Assange being mystified by his sock related ankle baldness and forgot all about it.
