So Hillary broke with Obama
to call the Orlando tragedy an act of Islamic extremism, even though it is known the attacker was not religious and has a violent past that had nothing to do with religion. Did he try to glorify his personal homophobia with religion? Yes. But this was all about his personal hatred of gay people. This shooting didn't have any more to do with Islam than Dylan Roof's shooting had to do with Christianity. I guess her conversion to the Republican Party ideas, except for abortion, is complete. I've trying to work up the courage to check in on DK & see how far the Hillary-bots can twist themselves to support this. God help us all. I'll try to post the link here and see if it works. Okay, I'm still not seeing a direct quote...
...where Secretary Clinton is explicitly saying, "The attack in Orlando was the work of an Islamic Extremist," or something to that effect. I've gone directly to the Today Show interview and still cannot find what the Politico article is claiming that she said, which is a direct tie between the Orlando shooting and radical Islam or radical Jihad or whatever. All I heard was a bullshit framing by Guthrie (Trump said it was radical Islam; therefore is was radical Islam, so why won't you just admit it.) Clinton answered with a general discussion of radical Islam/radical Jihad, but didn't specifically tie that to the Orlando shooting. If somebody can prove otherwise I'd like certainly to see it for the sake of accuracy...

Clinton-speak is all about implying something without actually saying it. If you watch cable news, you would get the impression she said the Faux News Channel's magic words "radical Islamic terrorism." The bottom line is a Hillary presidency would mean a continuation of our open-ended, unwinnable wars halfway around the world. Not to mention a re-start of the Cold War for the benefit of defense contractors, already underway in the current administration.

IIRC In an interview she hedged on that question seeing possible political advantage in casting doubt. While it was a despicable thing to do she did not go on and on about it.

are one and the same, if I'm reading the linked article correctly.
I don't see her denouncing the attack as anything other than "terrorism". It is terrorism. It was not related TO Islam to that usual SOP, seems to me--it was related to a guy who happens to call Islam his religion, who shot up a bunch of people because of their sexual orientation.
Is that related to Islam? Yes. But beyond that, Clinton seems awful eager to start bombing, going on to talking about "attacking". She's awfully trigger-happy, and that worries me no end.

I don't have any problem with her mentioning Islam so long as
she also includes the word extremism. "Islamic extremists" doesn't demonize all muslims, unless all muslims are extemists. Many of our muslim allies do put Homosexuals to death, so the attitude isn't incidental even if it is extreme. In fact his x-wife says he was obsessed with religion, as well as bipolar and abusive. The big danger of Clinton is that she always uses these things as justification for trying to overthrow Assad. It is the people she has been funding to overthrow Assad that are giving us grief. Isis are Syrian oppositoin, so if you fund the Syrian opposition you fund Isis. Neocons like Hillary, never seem to understand that.

She is takiing advantage of the fact that Americans don't know the factions involved, and taking out someone the neocons want to take out, because they are an ally of Iran. Unfortunately, she funds the very groups that really are giving us grief in order to take him out, and it is creating blowback. Isis uses the money to recruit online. She doesn't care whether these incidences happen every once in a while, because they most likey won't happen to anyone she cares about, and she can use them to further her real objectives.

trying to play both sides, but this could make it dangerous for many U.S. Muslims who in the past could count on Democratic support. She's calling it Islamic extremism but doesn't want anybody to take it out on peaceful Muslims. Basically, she tweets the dog whistle but begs for no violence, which works fine for peaceful citizens, but for those who are ready to blow anyway, both Muslim and Christian, it could be what sparks them off. To me, this shooter & Dylan Roof would have ended up killing people anyway - they just used their religion to try to bring a "noble" purpose to it. I believe it even more strongly in this case because most of the extremists commit suicide, whereas this guy was taking hostages and settling in. Thanks to Ken for advising me to add the link - it was much simpler than I had thought it would be.
