Shaun King Asks Hillary's Lawyer, David Kendall, a Question

Remember when David Shuster tweeted this?

Well, Shaun King of the New York Daily News contacted David Kendall, Hillary's lawyer, to ask if what Shuster tweeted was true. Here is the response King received:

No comment? Well, whatever you have to do to prevent your client from being indicted, a lawyer has to do. Just another day at the office for David Kendall. Esq., attorney for the (alleged) presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party.

I wonder how many of her speaking fees it'll take to pay her attorney's fees?

I wonder what will happen to her campaign funds once she has to drop out?

I wonder whether the funds from foreign governments will have to be returned by the Foundation after Hillary's trial?

For those foreign government's donations to the Clinton foundation, so I don't think that they will have to refund them.

While the foundation has disclosed foreign-government donors for years, it has not previously detailed the donations that were accepted during Clinton’s four-year stint at the State Department.

There has been articles written that say that the Clintons might be brought up on RICO charges because of all the shady business deals that people who donated to their foundation.
And I have no idea why Obama didn't put a stop to the pay for play that was going on between Bill, the state department and the Clinton foundation.
He told Hillary that Sidney Bluementhal wasn't to be hired by the state department, but she paid him $120,000 a year to work on her foundation.
He sent her classified emails from Libya about business deals that would profit the foundation.
From Haiti, Honduras, Libya and Ukraine, the state department was involved in business deals that the foundation profited from. That's a yuge conflict of interest and I'm sure that if it was a republican SOS that were doing those things that the Hillary supporters would find that very troubling. But since it's Hillary that did those things, they are looking the other way.
It's just so damned mind boggling what they are willing to overlook.
Oh and BTW, there is no FBI investigation going on.

that both Mills and Shyster are her lawyers. I knew the deal with Mills, her SOS aide, as attorney allowed Mills to use privilege to keep mum. It seems like the court should say sorry you already have another lawyer, Mills must testify. I guess that would be in the alternative universe where there is justice.

How can Mills be on the government payroll as her chief of staff and also be on Clinton's private payroll as her attorney. Is there not some sort of conflict of interest here? I would have thought government rules would have prevented something like this.

is that she started working as Hillary's attorney after Hillary left office. That's why she cannot speak about anything she "allegedly" learned after becoming Hillary's attorney. Mills cannot raise attorney client privilege for what she knew or did while working at the State Department. Thus, the reason for all the "I don't recall" answers to questions posed to her at her Judicial Watch deposition.

Kendall was hired I believe last August to represent Hillary in the email probe specifically.

regarding the FBI investigation. People like Hillary often have more than one attorney for different legal issues.

Mills was allegedly hired to represent Hillary after she left the State Department, in particular to deal with the FOIA requests and Benghazi committee subpoenas for document to which the State Department was required to respond. Mills was in charge of choosing which emails from Hillary's server had to be turned over to State. Or so the story goes.

If it's true that the FBI was able to recover some of the deletes, from off of the server back-ups or the cloud or whatever, and if some of those deletes were official government business or classified, I would think that would cause some uneasiness in the Clinton campaign.

The latest stuff I'm reading from admittedly right-wing sources like Fox and National Review (mainly because the MSM isn't reporting at all) is that the IG report is very very bad for HRC because it establishes authoritatively that her server was an unknown and unapproved and unauthorized non-secure repository of government records, some of it classified. This seems borne out by the fact that even before the IG report the FBI seized the server and make Kendall put his thumb drive in a safe. They are writing that IG is basically serving up the predicate required for an indictment for National Security violations of unauthorized storage. The IG report blew all of Hillary's assertions about "it was permitted" completely out of the water.

The data are just basically invisible (for lack of a better word) but the space they took up is still populated by them unless and until some new data are placed in the slot filled by the old data. Hope that makes sense.

It's why the best way to ensure no one will ever know what is on your computer is to shred the hard drive(s).

FBI most definitely could've recovered the deleted emails unless something else was saved over the spots they once occupied.

the 99% will realize that the .1% need to be taken down several notches. Until then, we are nothing but victims, slaves and pawns.

But I don't think Americans have it in them, anymore, to rise up. We are peasants with lots of expensive toys and trinkets. Dumbed down by large and small scree gadgets. We're nummer oneeee.

And I think that point may be coming to a head sooner than we think.

Once people can no longer afford, or see that they will soon no longer be able to afford all our fancy gadgets and conveniences, let alone adequate food and shelter, then the unrest will go from words to violence.

It has been a repeated pattern throughout human history.

The hubris of those at the top that think, "Ahhh, that stuff won't happen again, we got the peons firmly under control." will continue to think that.

Right up until the look outside their bubble and see the mobs with torches and pitchforks. Unfortunately for all parties, by that time it will be far to late for either side to back off most likely.

I hate to sound so pessimistic, but if we don't manage to force them to fix at least some of the injustices and inequalities we are facing as a society blood will flow in the streets.

I don't think many want that, but at a certain point what other option is there?

Hell my burbia has two military assault vehicles... that we know of. WTF is that needed for? For us. When the people finally say, "ballots or bullets. Voices or violence."

I'm not advocating violence, BUT.... too much violence is raining down on citizens. Violence, like being stripped of safety nets, stripped of our voices, our dignity.

I can see nothing more violent than my children's future being dragged down the war hole of climate change chaos and constant crises.

I no longer pretend there's even an election going on. in fact, it pisses me off all the threads about the eletion and polls and votes.... it's all BS. The game is so rigged I don't know why people are pretending. Our eruption should have happened a long time ago but we have continued to ignore it all and hope and change and the next president will make it all better hugsy kissies and ...

makes me sick. Smile

In fact, she cannot be compelled to cooperate. You know, "taking the Fifth."

Now, I now that's not supposed to imply that she's guilty. But then the narrative becomes, if she doesn't have anything to hide, why wouldn't she cooperate? And THAT plays right into Trump's hands: "They (all politicians) are the same." "Crooked Hillary."

They both have high unfavorables, but Hillary is un-TRUSTworthy. Trump is un-LIKEABLE. Which one is easier for people to vote for?

Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. Stephen Hawking

I don't know if this has been remarked anywhere -- but I was watching Clinton on Chris Hayes a couple of nights ago. He asked her if she'd been contacted by the FBI "about an interview regarding the email situation." To my ears, she absolutely elided the question. She said this:

"No. We do not have...ummm....an interview scheduled."

That was such carefully constructed non-denial denial. The "no" sounds as if it's a response to what Chirs Hayes asked about being contacted by the FBI -- but, for her, it will stand as a lead-in for the answer she chose to give, to a question that wasn't asked -- that of whether an interview has been scheduled. It sounds to me that there's a really big Matzo-ball out there, because he evasion seems to actually imply that the she or her representatives have been contacted by the FBI, and that she simply hasn't consented and scheduled an interview..

I believe someone brought up something similar and it was given a new name! "Hillary-speak".

Why would we believe her over the OIG? Her campaign is becoming an embarrassment due to her repeated "lies". Who does she think she is still convincing?? Most savvy voters have been doing their own research, and can tell when she is adding lying to her original "mistake" of not using the required government server.
