The Russians are Coming

Hillary Clinton cries ‘Russians are coming,’ accuses Trump of ‘surrender’

Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is raising a cry of alarm that the “Russians are still coming” and accusing President Donald Trump of doing nothing to defend the upcoming US elections.

Though the US media and political establishment gave Clinton a 98 percent chance to become president in 2016, she lost to Trump - and she has blamed the loss on former FBI Director James Comey, WikiLeaks and “the Russians,” including President Vladimir Putin personally.

“I say this as a former Secretary of State and as an American: the Russians are still coming,” Clinton tweeted on Wednesday. She said that the US intelligence community wants “Trump to act” but he has continued to “ignore and surrender.”

The world is on the brink of annihilation just because she didn't win the election. Now imagine if Trump had lost and then he blamed it on election rigging.

If you don't, we shall place you into a psychiatric facility called Gulag number 1. You see, one night, Hillary, Vladimir came into your bed and inseminated your brain with Russian larvae. After Nov. 8, 2016, they began hatching, exiting every orifice in your body. Many are still trapped in your eye fluids (called the vicious humor), which is why you see them everywhere. I believe the contagion began when you had dinner with Vlad at the Kremlin, where you had yellow cake and tea, generously bestowing upon him one-fifth of your serving. He is eternally grateful and ready to offer up Donald Drumpf on the altar of Mammon. But Hillary, you've got to stop eating so much pizza and drinking so much Bourbon, Scotch and Beer, because these fluids nourish the larvae you harbor.

Clinton was asked whether she took any personal responsibility for her loss.

I take absolute personal responsibility,” she said. “I was the candidate, I was the person who was on the ballot, and I am very aware of the challenges, the problems, the shortfalls that we had."

“It wasn’t a perfect campaign, there is no such thing,” she continued. But I was on the way to winning until a combination of Jim Comey’s letter, on October 28, and Russian WikiLeaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me, but got scared off.”

Clinton was also asked whether misogyny played a role in her defeat, and why she thought she lost the majority of the white female vote. She responded by saying her book was coming out, and that “everyday we are learn more about some of the unprecedented interference, including from a foreign power whose leader is not a member of my fan club.

A lot of people saw that "underground video" that went viral, of Her collapsing at the Sept 11 event and being unceremoniously stuffed into Her big black van. Her later passed it off as "walking pneumonia", an excuse that only the Party Faithful swallowed. The questions about Her health have never completely gone away.

In retrospect it would have been better for Her to have sent Her regrets that Her was unable to attend due to "pneumonia" - it would have done less damage.

Her never made a good decision, ever.

People had NOT to vote for Her. But, yes, that viral video of Her being dragged into the van at the 9/11 memorial didn't exactly elicit feelings of confidence about her candidacy. Then again, neither did sending her out to wave to the crowd in front of Chelsea's apartment building as if we hadn't seen her drop like a sack of potatoes out in the street an hour earlier.

Hillary always manages to employ the WORST advisers on her campaigns, doesn't she?

Modern education is little more than toeing the line for the capitalist pigs.

Guerrilla Liberalism won't liberate the US or the world from the iron fist of capital.

Pluto's Republic's picture

Irish journalist Finnian Cunningham writes in Sputnick:

All empires come to an end eventually. The notable thing is just how in denial the political class and the US news media are about the unfolding American crisis. This is partly where the whole "Russiagate" narrative comes into play. Blaming Russia for allegedly destabilizing US politics and society is a cover for denial over the internal rot facing the US.

::

What can't be disguised is the structural failing of US capitalism to reverse exploding inequality and endemic poverty across America. The national prowess of US capitalism has been superseded by global capitalism where American corporations among others scour the planet for cheap labor and tax havens. There is no going back to a supposed golden age, no matter how much Trump crows about "America First".

The other side of the coin from historic US economic demise is the concomitant rise in its militarism as a way to compensate for its overall loss of power.

::

Washington of course gives itself a fig leaf cover by calling its surge in militarism a "war on terror" or "defending allies". But, increasingly, US war conduct is seen for what it plainly is — violation of international law and the sovereignty of nations for the pursuit of American imperial interests.

In short, the US is patently lashing out as a rogue regime. This is the spectacle of our time. The Western mainstream news media are either blind, ignorant or complicit in denying the historic collapse.

World history has reached a foreboding cross-roads due to the collapsing of the American Empire. Can we navigate a safe path forward avoiding catastrophic war that often accompanies the demise of empires?

A lot, it seems, depends on ordinary American people becoming politically organized to challenge their dysfunctional system run by and for the elites. If the American people cannot hold their elites to account and break their corrupt rule, overhauling it with something more equitable and democratic, then the world is in peril of being plunged into total war. We can only but wish our American brothers and sisters solidarity and success.

The law also is rife with irony since the U.S. government and related agencies are among the world’s biggest purveyors of propaganda and disinformation – or what you might call evidence-free claims, such as the recent accusations of Russia hacking into Democratic emails to “influence” the U.S. election.

Despite these accusations — leaked by the Obama administration and embraced as true by the mainstream U.S. news media — there is little or no public evidence to support the charges. There is also a contradictory analysis by veteran U.S. intelligence professionals as well as statements by Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and an associate, former British Ambassador Craig Murray, that the Russians were not the source of the leaks. Yet, the mainstream U.S. media has virtually ignored this counter-evidence, appearing eager to collaborate with the new “Global Engagement Center” even before it is officially formed.

https://epeak.in/2018/02/28/the-dcccs-messaging-woes/

Memo #1: An internal leaked to The Intercept showed an internal health care poll commissioned by the DCCC. The Intercept frames that memo as suggesting that the DCCC doesn’t want its candidates to align with single-payer health care advocates. However, the memo encourages Democrats to simply “offer reasonable solutions to improve the law instead of a massive overhaul.” [...]

Memo #2: An email from Evan Lukaske, DCCC’s regional press secretary, that was leaked to Huffington Post revealed the organization’s internal strategy after the Las Vegas shooting: “You and your candidate will be understandably outraged and upset, as will your community. However, DO NOT POLITICIZE IT TODAY,” he wrote, advising them to focus messaging on “offering thoughts/prayers for victims and their families, and thanking 1st responders who saved lives.” [...]

Memo #3: Another email from Lukaske leaked to Huffington Post, similar to the first, but this one went out to Democratic candidates right after the Parkland shooting. “I think it’s ok to express your thoughts/prayers on social media,” Lukaske wrote. “But please be careful about what you post on social media and I would not blast any statements right now. There will be a time for politics, but we are still understanding what happened here and gathering the facts.”

I have been trying to embed a number of good tweets in reply to HER Heinous. I used the Twitter embed function and was able to get my embeds to show up in preview, but get an error message when I try to save them.

I am going to try just one in this comment. Well, one alone worked.

For some reason one tweet would not post even though it showed up in the preview. Weird.

So I am now going to try to save this with a tweet that contains a graphic.

Okay, that worked. So now I guess I will edit this by adding the tweets one by one. Blush

Hmmmmm...this is weird. Trying for another add. Got an error message, so it might be tht tweet. Trying for another different tweet.

And my favorite...short and sweet.

It appears that just one tweet was holding everything back so I cannot post it even though it showed up fine in the preview.

Nor do they need to invite me into their primaries and caucuses or, in general, care one iota about me. But when it comes time to vote, I'll be looking at a field of Democratic candidates that didn't have input from my corner of the world and so are unlikely to win my vote.

They said flat out, "Left-leaning independents are just Democrats who are too stuck on themselves to wear the label. They vote Democratic so all is good.

I tried to point out that they were hand-waving away ~45% of the electorate and I was told not to worry. I thought to myself, "I'm not worrying. I'm not a Democrat. But I can tell you that you won't be getting my vote and that ought to be worrying you."

Look at what Putin has done and continues to do. His evil machinations are tantamount to acts of war against America - in both the domestic and foreign realm. Is it any wonder the US is forced to surround Russia right up to it's very borders with armies, missiles and war ships?

Even as we we speak, that madman is destroying American democracy to it's very core. His minions managed to completely fuck with the minds of half of America to ensure his man took the Presidency. If his evil plans continue to spread and succeed it will be the end of America as we know it. It may already be too late. We may have to declare war against Russia to reclaim our country.

This is only a small taste of what you would believe about Putin and Russia if you had been following rabid anti-Putinistas such as Masha Gesson or Rachel Maddow. (As an interesting aside, what is there about Putin that elicits such deep and personal animus towards him from these women? He likes animals and children of all ages, speaks in a calm and measured way, considers pregnant women an asset, has enacted policies that make Russia the only country that has women CEO's in over half the workforce, strives for universal free healthcare, universal free education, rebuilt, using state funding, religious structures of ALL faiths that had been completely destroyed by 80 decades of the godless USSR)

Putin: The Man Who Stopped Washington's Regime Change Rampage

“It is essential to provide conditions for creative labor and economic growth at a pace that would put an end to the division of the world into permanent winners and permanent losers. The rules of the game should give the developing economies at least a chance to catch up with those we know as developed economies. We should work to level out the pace of economic development, and brace up backward countries and regions so as to make the fruit of economic growth and technological progress accessible to all. Particularly, this would help to put an end to poverty, one of the worst contemporary problems.” Vladimir Putin, President Russian Federation, Meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club

Putin wants to end poverty? Putin wants to stimulate economic growth in developing countries? Putin wants to change the system that divides the world into “permanent winners and losers”? But, how can that be, after all, Putin is bad, Putin is a “KGB thug”, Putin is the “new Hitler”?

“Another priority is global healthcare…. All people in the world, not only the elite, should have the right to healthy, long and full lives. This is a noble goal. In short, we should build the foundation for the future world today by investing in all priority areas of human development.” (Vladimir Putin, President Russian Federation, Meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club)

How many “liberal” politicians in the US would support a recommendation like Putin’s? Not very many. The Democrats are much more partial to market-based reforms like Obamacare that guarantee an ever-increasing slice of the pie goes to the giant HMOs and the voracious pharmaceutical companies. The Dems no longer make any attempt to promote universal healthcare as a basic human right. They’ve simply thrown in the towel and moved on to other issues.

Many Americans would find Putin’s views on climate change equally surprising. Here’s another clip from the Valdai speech:

“Ladies and gentlemen, one more issue that shall affect the future of the entire humankind is climate change. … I suggest that we take a broader look at the issue….What we need is an essentially different approach, one that would involve introducing new, groundbreaking, nature-like technologies that would not damage the environment, but rather work in harmony with it, enabling us to restore the balance between the biosphere and technology upset by human activities.

It is indeed a challenge of global proportions. And I am confident that humanity does have the necessary intellectual capacity to respond to it. We need to join our efforts, primarily engaging countries that possess strong research and development capabilities, and have made significant advances in fundamental research. We propose convening a special forum under the auspices of the UN to comprehensively address issues related to the depletion of natural resources, habitat destruction, and climate change. Russia is willing to co-sponsor such a forum…..” Valdai)

...and lots more. Deserves a read.

@CB Thanks for link. Will save it for this evening. I have been following events in Eastern Europe since the Ukrainian coup. And over time there has arisen the rise of the Putin mind-readers and experts. All of them know about his evil intentions even though none of them are remotely scholars on Russia, speak or read Russian, and have not even bothered to read translations of his speeches, Russian policy documents etc. Putin has become simple a projection of anti-Russian/xenophobic and American exceptionalism.

When Olive Stone finished up his interviews with Putin, he was thoroughly trashed in interviews he gave to American media promoting the project. His intent he said, to no avail, was that given Putin is such a controversial figure, wouldn't it be beneficial to understand him through his own words and beliefs. So no, Putin can only be understood through American stereotypes of him.

@MrWebster
We saw it with Castro, with Saddam, with Qaddafi, with Assad, dozens of other leaders and now with Putin. At one time or another, all these leaders were acceptable to Washington - until they fell out of favor - mostly because they refused to comply with the rules set forth by the Washington Consensus.

Here is John Cole's (who used to be a favorite of the Killary Dems before he told them they were full of shit) take on it. BTW, the Dim Dum Dems doubled, tripled down in response to it's failures.

Demonization of Putin as “Personally” behind Clinton Hack is old Propaganda Technique
Juan Cole | (Informed Comment) | – –

The leaked allegations supposedly from the CIA that Russian President Vladimir Putin “personally” directed how hacked emails from the Clinton campaign should be treated with a good deal of skepticism.

I have already said that the allegations of effective Russian interference in the US election do not make any sense to me. There is no point at which anything Russia is said to have done can be shown to have determined the election outcome.
...
Given that no one can point to any specific incident or incidents in which the Podesta emails had a discernible effect on the election, there is little reason to blame the outcome of the election on Russia.

But the most recent psy-ops leaks, allegedly from the CIA, speak in loving detail of how Putin himself took control of the operation, as part of a longstanding vendetta against Sec. Clinton.

No new information is added by such an allegation of Putin’s personal involvement. If you said that the Russian government did it, you’d be saying Putin. The image being created, of Putin personally intervening in an American election, is intended to pull at heartstrings. It is propaganda via personalization and demonization.
...
Whenever the US intelligence agencies collaborate with mass media to throw up on the screen the face of a foreign leader, giving him devil’s horns and making his face red with the flames of hell, we have to take that depiction as a sign that they intend to do something to that country.

Maybe Trump and Trudeau might tempt them, together in a monkey-barrel, where they can't cause anyone harm?

Worth a try? The Russian people could sell viewing tickets and popcorn to throw at yuuuuuge prices and up their tourist profits. They're certainly both worth nothing to the people whose countries they're trashing, except as replacing/forestalling a more obvious worst.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

The world is on the brink of annihilation just because she didn't win the election

Russiagate has reached a level of xenophobic hysteria that could lead to war. And yes, all because Hillary lost. It is tragic actually how Hillary's loss has transformed a good part of the democratic party base into reactionaries.

However, this isn't true. FB went back and looked into them and found that they had charged Trump more for his then they did for Her's.

But that's how this whole scam has been run. Someone makes an accusation and even though it has been debunked, people still believe. Like the one where all 17 intelligence agencies agree that Russia interfered with the election when it was only 3 people who were saying that.

With a big stick.

It is interesting what Russia has accomplished with a defense budget less than 1/10 of the US. Maybe it's because the Russian budget has a much smaller pork-to-bang ratio and the fact they don't waste untold billions on a thousand military bases in every corner of the world fomenting strife and disorder?

‘Listen to us now’: Putin unveils new Russian nuclear arsenal
Published time: 1 Mar, 2018
...
The latest advances in Russian strategic deterrence have made America’s anti-missile systems obsolete, so Washington should stop trying to diminish Russia’s security and start talking to Moscow as an equal partner, not the dominant military power it seeks to be, Putin said.
...
The Russian president accused the US of arrogance, saying that it thought that Russia would not be able to recover anytime soon after the collapse of the Soviet Union and that its interests can simply be ignored. One particular move – the withdrawal by George W Bush from the Anti-ballistic Missile Treaty (ABM) in 2002 – resulted in Russia being increasingly surrounded by American assets, which undermined the country’s nuclear deterrence.

“In the end, if we did nothing, this would render the Russian nuclear potential worthless,” Putin said. “They could simply intercept all of it.”

Without a nuclear deterrent, Russia would be exposed to US military pressure and would not be able to pursue a sovereign policy, Putin said. The president warned as early as in 2004 that Russia would not sit idle and that it would respond to this threat by developing new weapons systems.

Russia's new 'big stick'

Russia has now done this, according to Putin, who went on to present a number of new systems, some of which don’t yet have names, and which are all meant to counter current and future ABM systems. His speech was accompanied by a series of video clips showing those new systems, partially as footage of tests and partially as computer-generated images showing their capabilities.
...
'Speaking softly': Russia wants negotiations, not confrontation

Putin stressed that Russia would not need all these new weapons if its legitimate concerns had not been ignored by the US and its allies. “Nobody wanted to talk with us on the core of the problem. Nobody listened to us. Now you listen!” he said.

He suggested that the US abandon its costly and inefficient hostile plans towards Russia and start negotiating a security arrangement which would take Moscow’s interests into account.

“To those who for the last 15 years have been trying to fan an arms race, achieve unilateral advantage against Russia, impose sanctions, which are illegal from the standpoint of international law and are aimed at holding back the development of our country, including in the military area, I have this to say: All the things you were trying to prevent through your policies have already happened. You have failed to hold Russia back,” Putin said.

“You now have to acknowledge this reality, confirm that everything I said is no bluff – which it isn’t – think for some time, send into retirement the people stuck in the past and incapable of looking into the future, [and] stop rocking the boat that we all ride in and which is called planet Earth,” he said. Russia would be responsive if talked to as an equal partner, Putin added.

A new arms race with Russia would hurt America much, much more. Russia is not isolated in the world. Eventually, all this new technology will be shared with China and other allies. The US has to realize it is no longer a uni-polar world with them at the helm - not in finance, not in manufacturing and not in military might. It's power is being eroded in all these areas at an ever increasing rate. The question arises, will it fall into the Thucydides Trap by refusing to acknowledge the inevitable? It's doubtful when one considers the leaders who dominate the political and military spheres at this time.

She was tired and a believing dreamer and very stubborn and focused on a 'political career on her own for herself'. The latter together with the former imo is always a recipe for disaster and collapse.

Now she became another OPOL (with apologies to the REAL OPOL) and can't get over to not have achieved what she dreamt of doing.

referring to undisclosed sources etc. I was reminded of weasel words in US talking head coverage on mainstream TV.

I wouldn't agree with you that the AfD is right (oh, well of course they are super right wing), but that it shows that when money is involved everybody is wrong... Smile I can't help but thinking most Germans have enough security in their life that they can't imagine what it means to not have that.

I had no idea how much you have to pay for TV in Germany, what are you paying for? Or is it for something else? I watch TV (a little) at my sisters house. Otherwise I watch everything on the laptop and I have her whelan access for free as well. I can't afford rents or house neither in Germany, nor in HI. So ...

Heh, I could live without all of it, if I had my head clear, my heart pure, and my body all youngish and healthy. But who has that?

Just kidding.
